In the beginning of the year, I was actually kind of happy that this wouldn’t be a busy summer. Three weeks into May, I realize that this is going to be anything but a not-busy summer. As the days go by, more and more events pop up. Last weekend, I was busy on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. This weekend now, I have been just as busy. On Friday, it was a date night for me and Igwe. We went sight-seeing Downtown Baltimore and finally got to see Battleship, a movie we had deliberately avoided for our reluctance to watch Rihanna. The movie turned out to be pretty darn good, in spite of Rihanna. She wasn’t bad really. She didn’t make or break the movie.
On Saturday, I woke up early to start prepping for the show which started at 12pm and ended at 2pm. Then, as soon as I was done, I rushed off to Towson to host (MC) a graduation party. Bet you didn’t know I do that, huh? Well, now you know. As soon as the graduation party was over, I ran home, washed my face, applied new make-up, dressed up in a traditional outfit and ran off to a wedding. Yesterday, it was church, then someone’s house, then dinner at Cheesecake Factory where we were full before the food came because we kept eating their bread.
This weekend, I have a wedding and a graduation-slash-birthday party to attend. Really looking forward to the party. I want to dance. And there are many other events coming up: weddings (ones I attend as a guest and ones I will be MC’ing), baby showers, bridal showers, birthdays, much more. Heaven help me (and provide the funds cause some of them are out of State sef).
Something to look forward to (or not): my trip to the dentist on Wednesday. I have not seen a dentist in God knows how long, so this should be very eventful — for the dentist, especially. He/she may not have ever seen anything teeth like mine. I wonder what’s truly going on in there. There could be a coup being planned by my teeth, and I don’t even know it. Wish me luck.
In other words, I just want the weekend back. Is it really over? It can’t possibly be Monday already!

Lucid, darling. I know I owe you a phone call, and I am so, so sorry. I will try my best to call you today before my dentist appointment. But to answer your question, I did not mention any specific wedding at all nah. Lol.
