1. I’ve been keeping a big secret from you, Sweet Potatoes. But I have decided that I will tell it before the end of the year. I’m tired of keeping it. No, I will not give hints!
2. I’m an undercover rebel. Sometimes, my only reason for refusing to do something is because everyone else is doing it. Exanple: every year, I deliberately wear white after labor day, and I feel good when I do it.
3. Unlike Sisi Yemmie, I love cold cereal. In fact, I can’t drink warm milk. Yuck! I love my milk very cold, and I love my cold cereal crunchy.
4. I’m anal. Things have to be certain ways. Our apartment has become too little for us and there are things that don’t have places. It drives me crazy. I believe there should be a place for everything, and everything should be in its place.
5. I wear latex gloves for many, many things. For washing dishes, for touching raw meat, for eating chicken wings, for eating fufu and soup, and for applying conditioner on my hair. It’s because I HATE things going under my nails. People laugh at me, but I couldn’t care less.
6. I have straws everywhere: At home, in my car, and even in my bag. I go to events and then walk back to my car to get a straw because I don’t wanna mess up my lipstick. And because I just like sipping from a straw. I drink water from a straw, too.
7. I am an extremely slow cook. If you’re hungry, don’t come to me when I am still cooking. I once took 3 days to make moi moi. Pesin wey hunger dey catch for don die finish.
8. I have so many plans and dreams for my future, including television. Some days I’m encouraged, and other days, I’m really, really down. Pray for me oh!!!
9. I love cereal. It’s my any time food. I can eat it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, snacks, anything. My current favorite cereal is Frosted Flakes. Yum!!! I say “current” cause it might change tomorrow.
10. I may not have any real food in my house, but I will always have milk, yogurt, and cereal. When I poured the glass of milk below to take a picture for the blog, I drank it up before I took the picture. It was unconscious. I did it without thinking. I drink so much milk that it has become a reflex action. I had to pour another glass for pictures.
11. I don’t like being under the sun, and I hate it when it’s hot. I don’t understand how people go walking/running when it’s 90 degrees. 80 sef is too much for me. With how much I hate being under the sun, you’d think I’d melt. I’m looking forward to the cold temperatures.
12. I love dairy products like milk, milkshake, ice cream, yogurt, frozen yogurt. I’d skip a meal and have a milkshake instead. By the way, I’m lactose intolerant, but no lactose intolerance will keep me away!
13. I have a sweet tooth. Jesus, help me ooo! If it’s sweet (and especially if I can drink it), then I want it! I don’t really have cravings for sweet food (like cookies, candy), but if there are things like soda, juice, etc in the house, I will definitely show them the inside of my belly.
14. I do a lot of mental workouts. In other words, I imagine myself working out, but I don’t actually do it physically. It’s too hard!
15. Suddenly, suddenly, I’m interested in sports. Can you guess who turned me this way? I watch soccer, football, and basketball. I even watch the sports commentaries, and I follow them on Twitter. I don’t recognize this new Vera.
16. I cannot have a conversation with stupid people. And that’s all I have to say about this.
17. I always have imaginary interviews when I’m alone. I imagine that Oprah or Wendy or Ellen is asking me what inspired me to do whatever-it-is-that-brought-me-on-television, and I have this long conversation with them. I even throw in a few jokes. You should hear me talking, you’d swear I’m actually speaking to someone.
18. I get extremely excited about using new products. Like new soap, new lotion, new makeup remover, and oh, my God, new perfume.
19. I’m still a perfume junkie. I have so many future perfumes on my list.
20. I have a lot of celebrity friends in my head, like Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Kerry Washington, Beyonce, Jennifer Garner, Angelina Jolie, Wendy Williams, Oprah, and many more.
21. When I’m bored, I start wearing my clothes and shoes and walking around the house. And I paint my face, then clean it right up.
22. I don’t have a high alcohol tolerance. One glass of Moscato will send me to bed.
23. I love getting my nails done. I may not have anything else done, but my nails have to be done. Even if I’m having a bad day, I can look down at my nails and say, well, at least my nails are done. By the way, these are my nails with no extensions. I do have an acrylic overlay to keep nail polish longer.

Dalu, thanks a lot for the encouragement for my TV dreams. I have thought about vlogs for a long time, but I haven’t quite patterned a pattern (lol). I like to take my time before i start things because I don’t want to start something I can’t finish.

lol, vera, you ,might wanna try using a fork instead of gloves. My mom does that all the time(even in public). Believe me, I absolutely HATE it too when those fufu/eba/amala particles get under my nails. using my hands to eat fufu is like eating germs cause i do a lot with my hands and i also have natural long nails just like you. Dont worry, I feel your pain.

I feel you on the straw thing. It makes drinks taste better too in my warped opinion. I also feel you on the cold crunchy cereal thing, except for when eating oatmeal. I am not a breakfast person, I love cereal but tend to eat it at any random time of the day except for breakfast.
