I’m sure that by now you have heard that Apple is coming out with something. Come on, you have to know. Even I, a proud member of the Association of Last Carriers, I am aware of this development. Unlike all the previous years, however, this time I am actually paying attention. And you’ll soon find out why.
There’s one simple reason: A few months ago, I officially started shopping for a tablet. It occurred to me that I need a tablet. I have always thought I don’t need one. I have a laptop. I have a smart phone. What would I need a tablet for? Well, a lot apparently. For example, I am not always in front of my laptop … and I do not always feel like using my smart phone. So, what does a girl do?
A girl does the only thing she always does: she reads up on just about all the popular tablets. I had made up my mind to buy anything but the iPad. I was not going to fall for it. Everyone keeps talking about the iPad, but me, I was not. I made up my mind to buy the Sony tablet. I had made up my mind before I even saw it and touched it. I went to Best Buy and played with all their tablets – except the iPad. And yes, I did play with all the tablets. Every single one.
But I did not like the Sony Tablet’s shape, plus I hated the fact that it was the first generation. So I started looking at the Toshiba Thrive. But it was too big and it was the first generation too. And then the Samsung. But I was not in love. I don’t want to go into details with all the tablets I looked at and why I did not like them.
One day, however, I met the iPad. I did not mean to, but the guy at Best Buy just could not understand that I wanted to know more about the Android tablets, not about the iPads. He said, “Well, sure, you can waste your money on these other ones, but the iPad is the best.” Over and over, I told him to tell me about the androids, but he insisted on the iPad. I vexed.
And then I walked out with the iPad on my mind. Since then, it has refused to leave. And that is exactly how I got hooked on the i. I began to pay attention to every i-related article on Mashable. Rumors and rumors about the iPad 3 were pouring in – still pouring in. Like that wasn’t bad enough, they have now officially invited people to their event on March 7th.
The invitation says, “We have something you really need to see. And touch.” The event will start at 10AM in San Francisco which is 1 PM here in Maryland. I cannot wait to find out what they’re revealing. Trust Apple, they’re not telling people what they’re releasing. Only that we need to see and touch it. Well, that could be anything. TV. Laptop. iPad. iTouch. Shoot, a car??? They’re making me hyperventilate here. I’m breaking out in random sweats. I’m having a nightmare. I think one of them (iPad 3) visited me the other night and told me things.
The picture above is supposed to be a giveaway. But what if it isn’t? Apple actually sent it as part of the invitation. See torture!!! That said, I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say that it just might be the iPad 2S. Yes, ke. That’s what they did with the iPhone 4S. People predicted that the iPhone 5 was coming out, but instead, they surprised us them with the iPhone 4S. I couldn’t care less back then. I was still faithful to RIM and their Blackberry.
If anyone knows Apple, please tell them to have mercy.
Now you have me thinking about the iPad 🙁
LOL. Then my work here is done. You’re welcome 😉
Try the Motorola XOOM.
Absolutely not. First of all, I’m not a fan of Motorola. Secondly, I’ve heard and read grave things about it.
