Watching Showtime’s original series, Californication the other day, Hank Moody, the main character made a point about pubic hair that I had never really thought about. I know I asked you about [Igbo] men and chest hairs on women, but this time, I want to know about men and pubic [vaginal] hair. More so, the lack of it. The general consensus in Women Land is that men do not like pubic hair on women. But how true is this?
I realize, of course, that Hank Moody is a fictional character and may not speak for all men, but fiction is often not very far from reality, so I know he speaks for some men. According to Hank Moody, he would prefer for any woman he has sex with to at least look like she has gone through puberty. In other words, no bald eagles. In other, other words, grow some hair in your cho-cha, woman!
And I found this surprising because, like I said, word on the street in Women Land is that men do not like ANY kind of vaginal hair. In fact, I specifically remember someone saying he had no interest in flossing hair out of his teeth. Don’t ask me why I have these conversations with men. I’m just so interested in these things. It’s vital for one’s ehm … well, it’s just vital.
I remember during my young and foolish days when I used to watch porn — you know, a month ago — and I had seen a girl who had what could only be described as a freshly blow-dried afro, sitting on top of her vagina. And she was White. So the afro was like a brunette color. It did not look good at all. I did not – still do not – understand how vaginal hair can even grow to such a length and puff, and why anyone would want to keep that AND appear on television with it.
I am aware that there isn’t a one-size-fits-all answer for this question, but I’d really like to know what men think about bald eagles. Or at least, what my male readers think about bald eagles. Yay or nay?
Personally I prefer a nice full bush. I think pubic hair is really sexy and love the way it feels. Nothing is more sexy than finding a nice furry surprise down there. Bikini line shaving’s OK but nothing turns me off like a shaved pussy. Don’t shave it off for god’s sake. Why women are into this craze to shave or remove all pubic hair is beyond me. A full trimmed bush increases a woman’s sex appeal tenfold. Why would a woman want to look like a pre-pubescent? Besides, there is no concrete health reasons to shave the pubes.
Hahaha @ a nice, furry surprise. Now this is a surprise to me. Well, I can guarantee you, you won’t be finding such a surprise on me. In fact, you will get a different kinda surprise.
Per health reasons, I don’t think there is any. But doesn’t the bush cause an odor? Or maybe act as a catalyst to yeast infection? I don’t know this for a fact; it’s just what I would think the case may be.
Hair holds odor but there’s nothing about yeast infections that I am aware of. It is actually healthier to have hair down there as it keeps bacteria away from the actual vagina but I think hair feels gross so I get rid of it anyway.
Its better for women to shave their “under garments”, i believe its more hygenic and appeaing.
I think it’s more hygienic to shave, too. I guess the “appealing” part is a matter of personal choice, but I don’t like spotting a fro – not that I can if I even wanted to.
Actually, shaving and waxing lead to higher rates of yeast and bacterial infections!
So it is really less hygenic. There is a reason we were given bushes!
Since my wife started shaving, she has not had a single yeast infestion. It has been nearly 13 years. Not sure where these facts come from. I’m sure it’s different for every woman. She used to have them occasionally, before the shaving began.
From a little bit(just a very tiny bit) of pubic hair down in the lowkey region to nothing at all…..well then am in. Anything apart from that could calm down my erection in T – 0 seconds

Had a girlfriend who maintained a two weeks kinda pubic hair growth. She says it keeps the pee in line….and no,she was no train track. Lol.

Almost a year late to the game but had to share my personal experience and not so humble opinion. 🙂 Baldies tend to have odors and I believe this is primarily because it actually sweats more due to the loss of the cooling effect that the hair provides (non scientific). Also the body generates pheromones and the pubic hair retains it long hence the sexual attraction. Now granted I wouldn’t turn down an attractive looking lady I want to “do” just because she is a baldie but would prefer a well groomed/neatly trimmed pubic hair because it requires more time and tells me the lady would spend more than enough time downtown to make sure it is well kept for whenever I visit. 🙂 Baldies look like prepubescence girls and it concerns me when some men stipulate that a woman has to look that way to appeal to them, so the question then is a physically formed 14 year old would appeal to the man as well. 🙂

Why should men expect women to be bald (it’s not natural!) when they are not? They are not the only ones flossing after doing the naughty. Should we demand they shave???
Looooool. You know, I think we have every right to demand so. I mean, they have a lot of demands on women anyway. So why not! 😀
No need to go bald, but if giving head to a woman – preferably trimmed. (as Josey pointed out about the flossing part LOL) If you expect head, it’s common courtesy to trim for your partner, but otherwise, I think bush is a lot sexier than bald.
