I was gone for only a few days (ok, maybe a few weeks) and chaos took hold of Blogville. What is this I hear about Boorish not blogging anymore? I am still unclear of what happened….or why it happened, but I do have to say that I am very disappointed.
Why can’t people read a post, leave a comment and move the heck on? There is no blogger who actually spills all the beans about their life. Even the alleged anonymous bloggers still keep some things 2 themselves, so why all negative comments? Bloggers have been forced to put up comment moderation and reject anonymous comments because a few anonymous commenters have decided to say all kinds of ish. And you know what, I could swear that most of the anonymous commenters are bloggers themselves! They just do not have the balls to say what is on their mind.
I don’t know why Boorish blogs (or why he used 2 blog), but for me, I started blogging as a fun thing. When I started it, I was not even aware of any other Nigerian blogger. I just blogged. I did not have any comments, but it did not matter. I was basically entertaining myself. But now that NaijaBlogville is popular, people have been behaving badly. I personally do not care to receive any ignorant comment on my blog; if it bothers you so much, give me a call and state your actual name – or else, please forever hold your peace.
I have not read Waffarian’s gist about the guy who hurt her because I have been gone for too long, and that is just too much reading for me to catch up to, but one thing puzzles me though, why or how did people get the idea that it was Boorish?? And why did said people decide to ride the fence?? I mean, why accuse him of being the one and then go back to tell him not to worry? Do y’ll not know about the power of technology AKA the internet??? Anyway, I need not mention any names; you know yourselves.
But Boorish, don’t leave ur blog for such foolishness. I am not gonna acknowledge your blogbituary because you shall rise from the dead, lol. Seriously, come back!!!

Boorish COME BACK!!!
On one of my poetry and sayings blog (izzonline.blogspot.com) I said something along the lines of ‘spontaneity comes with great responsibilty and pity some miss the need for the two to walk as a pair’ and I think that’s what some commenters neglect here. Responsibility to account for the spontaneity that the internet and blogs come with. I don’t understand why some people do not see the need to strive for peaceful interactions and see better to be belligerent.
Let me mention that in South Africa there is currently a wide pop media coverage of a blogger who ignored his natural and automatic responsibilities of a blogger and he is now paying dealry in court and jail for it. Let’s just say he said mean things about other innocent more peaceful people (bloggers and non-bloggers).
Basically, why is people seeing the need to slander others, regardless of it being through comments or actual entries? Can’t people be enjoyed as writers/bloggers who express themselves peacefuly on the net than get attacked and accused by those with faceless identities? And like Vera says, it is other bloggers. Fellow bloggers. Ladies, Gents, let’s all own up to the responsibility that comes with the spontaneity of blogging.

I stay very far away from any sort of drama that ensues on any blog because if my actual life is free of drama there is no logic in involving in any online when all i want to do is unwind and have some fun or intelligent conversations.
The people who cause trouble or aggravate an existing one probably have not much going on in their lives or just have serious issues with being civil. The best thing is to ignore them altogether..although it’s hard it can be done, that way we don’t give them more ammunition to misbehave.

I’ve come to realize that I love studying why people do the things they do rather than pass judgment on them for the things they do.
if we spend time, seat back, observe, and treat with people kindness, I think this world would be a sexier place to live in.

Thanks so much, I must say that i am genuinely touched by all your messages. I wonder why some people cannot just read a blog and leave it as what it is. There is no guarantee that I was telling the truth about myself, there is no guarantee that the blog is a true reflection my chracter entirely, all it is is just words.
Why cast aspersions on a person’s character? We all need to becareful, a few bloggers know who i am, and I woulod hate for these rumors to come back and haunt me when it truly matters….
