Lifetime’s much anticipated television movie, Liz & Dick will premiere this Sunday at 9pm EST (2am GMT / 3am Nigerian Time). I am no fan of Lindsay Lohan, and the only thing that comes to mind when I think of her is disaster. I cannot remember any movie I’ve watched with her in it. Ironically, the only movie of her I remember is Mean Girls, and I did not even watch that. She’s famous for being infamous. We know that.
The Hollywood Reporter reviewed the movie and had absolutely nothing good to say about it. I don’t know if I have ever seen such a horrible review of a movie. It says that Liz & Dick is “spectacularly bad.” It also goes on to say that the movie is “An instant classic of unintentional hilarity. Drinking games were made for movies like this. And the best part is that it gets worse as it goes on, so in the right company with the right beverages, Liz & Dick could be unbearably hilarious toward the tail end of the 90-minute running time.”
Uhm, ouch.
In spite of all this, I still intend to watch it. I’m just going to prepare myself for absolute disaster and hilarity, and maybe even a drinking game, if I am lucky enough. One thing is certain, I will be live-tweeting about it. You may follow my tweets. We’ll have fun together.
What about you? Are you gonna watch it?
P.S. Hope you had a fabulous Thanksgiving Day!
That title sef sounds like a deliberate dirty trisck on the viewers…
Lol. I know. It’s hard to mention Dick without minds going all over the place.
I just read that review on this movie, and WOW it was definitely harsh! I still have plans to watch this though, even being that I’m not a fan of Lindsey Lohan either. I’m probably more curious than ever to see it because of the harsh reviews, so I made sure to setup a recording for it on my DISH Hopper DVR a few days ago. I’m away on business for my job at DISH this weekend, but I will definitely watch it when I get back. Good thing I have 445 HD hours to work with when it comes to recording time on my DVR because then I don’t have to worry about this and all of my favorite shows recording while I’m away. 🙂
Yay for your DVR. I never use that. I don’t even know if I have one. I’m so used to searching OnDemand. But one thing is certain, the horrible reviews would probably make more people see it. In this business, no kind of publicity is bad publicity. And it seems like the worse it is, the more popular. Happy watching!
