This is just strange. And awkward.
This is Mary-Kate Olsen and her boyfriend, Olivier Sarkozy on an NBA date night. That’s right, her boyfriend. She’s 26. He’s 42. See, it’s not that I am against May-December love, and it’s not that I think the age gap is too much – 16 years – it’s just that at first glance, you’d think he’s her father, no? There are lots of May-December lovers who don’t look so disturbing, for lack of a better word. Like Beyonce and Jay-Z (she’s 12 years younger); Bruce Willis and Emma Heming (she’s 21 years younger); Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes (she’s 16 years younger); Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones (she’s 25 years younger) … you get the point.
I mean ….
After having a deep and probing conversation with myself, I have finally figured out why I am so uncomfortable with this:
1. The Mary-Kate I know is still the little girl from One Of A Kind. When did she turn 26?! Is her twin 26, too?! No wayyyyy!
2. This man looks like he can father her one and half times.
His kids were there too
3. Wait ah damn minute! His kids were there, too? Tell me she really does not look like one of his kids?
Will I be going to far for suggesting that Dateline: To Catch A Predator should be contacted, just in case? Okay, you’re right. I’ll stop.

Well *nowsinging* we’ve found love in a hopeless place… Society pressures us to be in relationship, it also pressures us on who we should be in relationship with, I’m of the opinion that if two people really agree to be together then who are we to disagree and we make up society, the only thing I may have issue with relationships is when one or both are in it for just the good times and or for the short term instead of till death us do part… But that’s just me dear

And it’s not even about the age gap. It’s the look of the age gap. Oh, well.
I’m pretty uncomfortable with it too … he strikes me as selfish.
LOL @ selfish. He probably isn’t – hopefully – and maybe he genuinely loves and they have great chemistry, yada yada yada, but the look of it is just strange.
The problem is she looks 12, and he looks 50. Indeed the look of the age gap matters, for the people looking on anyway.

Maybe they should try taking a picture together (with his kids) and then try to spot the difference. I bet she will get lost in the photo with his kids.

The funny thing is that if they were to do that, she might honestly pass as his daughter. Just weird.
