It was only last week Thursday that I told you about the Nollywood flick, Men In Love, starring John Dumelo, Muna Obiefuna, and Tonto Dike. Well, another Nollywood flick is out – Dirty Secret (or about to be out), and this time, it’s Frank Artus (a Liberian guy whom many have mistaken to be Ghanaian), Muna Obiefuna, Jibola Dabo, and Tonto Dike. I have seen Tonto with her legs in the air so many times that I have become desensitized to it. I no fit shout. I can’t even complain anymore. As a matter of fact, not having her legs up in the air would be unusual.
But what is this thing with Muna Obiefuna? I’m still trying to get over his gay role in Men In Love – not because Nigerian men are not gay (of course not), but because Muna’s portrayal of them was just laughable at its best. Now, I see him wearing a thong, which by the way is not how I have always pictured a man in thongs. He has completely ruined this for me! He’s kissing another man — an older guy this time (Jibola Dabo), and well, let’s just say I’m torn between being disgusted and amused. Let’s call it disgusmused.
I am now highly suspicious of Muna Obiefuna. I think he’s trying to tell us one of the following:
1. His acting career has seen better days, and he is now desperate for a role in a movie. Any role. Any movie.
2. No one ever gets to the top without doing a few crazy things, and he’ll do anything to get there, damn it!
3. He actually does have a little sugar in his tank, and he’s using style to tell us through his acting career.
I have not seen the movie yet, but I will watch it — just so that I can come back here and tell you all about it, so in other words, watch out for Part II of this post aka The Review.

I do not completely agree that an "ACTOR," be it Nigerian or from any other nationality, should not take on salacious roles. Although I do not claim to be pundit, I believe one of the attributes of a good "ACTOR/ACTRESS" is the ability to interpret and take on roles, be it controversial or not, that are out of their comfort zones. Preferably, roles that would generate a discussion; as I believe has been generated in this forum. Also, the ability to present the "artistry" in a very believable fashion should not be overlooked. Tonto Dike reached most of these milestones.
Come on people, look at it for what it is: ACTING. These guys are professionals and "MAKE BELIEVE" is what they do for a living. I do not think it is fair to assume that their personal lives, which by the way is no ones business, reflect what is seen on television.

This is all sorts of wrong. Is this entertainment? Disgusting is the word. If we want to break boundaries, let us do it by creating better story lines, and making movies that edify. This here is just a hot mess.

Even though I am tempted to say it is just acting…then I say why is Tonto always Stereotyped.
Muna just fall my hand nowadays, he started well starring along side Genevieve and co. So I wonder why he has to descend so low to such films

Um, I don't understand Igbo (or Yoruba, or Ijaw or any Nigerian language for that matter), so I don't get joke – if there is one – but isn't his name supposed to Muna ObieKWE?
