ha ahn vera in our defense….hunger games came out first in nigeria because that packaging looks achaic..we’ve stepped up from clear plastic cases… so technically hollywood stole our title.

  No oh! Well, I mean I can’t prove which one came out first, but this packaging in the type they use in Nigeria. It’s th Yankee movies that come with those fancy packages. At least, that’s what I’ve been told.

Today was Day 2 of the Unscripted program at @merc

Today was Day 2 of the Unscripted program at @mercycourt. This time, I got to meet the crown on @kingsleypst's head, @pastormildred . She was as beautiful in person as on these internet streets.

Yesterday's event was great, but today was 10X greater, and I'm so glad I went. Mercy Court is not my church, so I battled with missing my own church, but I really enjoyed his teaching yesterday, so I went. Today was, in one word, enlightening.

Pastor Kingsley talked about so much, and I had many aha moments, but I'll talk about one in particular. It was when he said, "All leaders are providers, but not all providers are leaders." This was said in the context of men thinking that their primary role in the home is to provide financially, but the Bible calls men to lead.

Pastor K went on to explain that women are close to their Pastors because their Pastors are providing an unmet need at home: leadership. He also mentioned how children can end up being closest to their mom because she provided leadership, not just financial/material provision.

There's so much I want to say, but a social media post can't take all this heat, so maybe I'll put it in a blog post or newsletter. Oh, I met a Sweet Potato yesterday. Hey, girl, hey! ❤️ And I bought another book today. Pastor Kingsley and Pastor Mildred want to finish all my money. It's like they're not aware of the economic situation in this country. I'm considering asking them to babysit Ada Verastic for a week to justify this expenditure.

If you ever have the chance to attend their event or church service, please do. 100 out of 10, I'd recommend.

P.S. I might meet their children tomorrow.

I finally saw @kingsleypst in person today. It was at the Unscripted event at @mercycourt. He was just like all the videos I've seen of him online. He was funny, and his delivery was smooth. He clearly knows his audience. He talked about Kingdom Marriages. While some of his points were music to the ears, some others were difficult to swallow. Like the part about women knowing how to love men unconditionally like their mother. Maybe I have a coconut head, but I do not want to be a romantic partner and a mother to the same man. Otherwise, I'll start treating him like my son then.

Oh, and also when Pastor Kingsley said that a woman is called to submit to her husband - whether or not he's deserving of it. That one off me, so I just rolled my eyes and folded my arms in defiance. Very mature. Seriously though, it was a great time, and he was really warm and friendly.

The truth is that sometimes God gives us inconvenient mandates, but no one ever said that Christianity was convenient. Our instinct is to do what we want, how we want, and when we want. Our instinct is to pacify our flesh. Pastor Kingsley also spoke against that (following our instincts). The man just woke up this morning and chose violence. I bought one of his books, the one called, "MANual - The Way Men Think." I will read it when my body is doing me as if I want to know how they think. It's a lot more convenient to just conclude that they're all mad.
