It’s Nigeria’s 53rd birthday today. I’m not going to focus on all the things that are going wrong and could go better. I’m just going to be thankful for my country. I’m thankful that I get to call myself a Nigerian. I’m grateful for the cultural diversity in Nigeria, for the beautiful people of Nigeria, for their impeccable sense of humor, for their fighting spirit, and for their gracious hearts. I am grateful for our leaders: past, present, and especially one future one. If I wasn’t from Nigeria, I would be from Nigeria.
Happy birthday, Nigeria. I hope to some day make a tangible difference in you. Amen.

That was a good one.

Thank you, Nurash 🙂

Yes oh, with all the problems, I love my country Nigeria. I agree, good one Vera. May all the problems, tests, trials and tribulations give our country the chance to grow to greater heights. “…I will bring that group through the fire and make them pure, just as gold and silver are refined and purified by fire. They will call on my name, and I will answer them. I will say, ‘These are my people,’ and they will say, ‘The Lord is our God.’” Zech 13:8-9 in Jesus name amen!!

Amen! Thank you, Enitan. I love Nigeria, too. I just get too frustrated and angry to say it sometimes.
