Funmie sent me this information. While I have never met Elijah, Funmie knows his personally. Funmie didn’t tell me to put up this blog post, and I did not even tell her that I’ll be putting up this blog post, so when she sees it, she’ll do in usual Funmie fashion and call me to scream on the phone.
Those of us who went to school here (or are still going to school here) know that the man called school loan is a beast and a freak of nature. Elijah wants to pursue a master’s degree course in Urban Planning and Community Development at either University of Vermont or Cleveland State University.
In order to go to one of these universities, Elijah would need to get his transcript from Morgan and send it to them, but Morgan will not release the transcript until he has paid his outstanding fees of $8,212. Elijah has a Go Fund Me account. If you can, anyway you can, please help him.
You can go directly to his page here. I remember when I didn’t go to school for over a year because I didn’t have the money to. It would have meant a lot to me to have someone give me something, anything. But that’s a story for another day. For now, whatever you can do for Elijah, please do.
Lord, have mercy…
God, I hate Loans!
You and I both!
