I read this post on Hollyscoop about 20 gay celebrities. I didn’t know all of them, but I was shocked by these six, as I really did not know they’re gay – with the exception of Raven Symone who I already blogged about here (on May 23rd 2o12 ). What rock have I been living under?
Cynthia Nixon: She’s probably most known for her role as Miranda on Sex & The City. Apparently, she came out as bisexual a while ago, but she has a wife.
David Hyde Pierce: No way! Dr. Niles Crane from Fraiser is gay? By the way, I loveee Fraiser! The show has been long over, but I’ll watch it anytime it comes on. Never stops being funny.
Raven Symone: Because I already blogged about Raven Symone before, I am no longer shocked. However, I’m not yet used to her being gay (or even having any kind of sexuality). She’s little Olivia. That’s all.
Gillian Anderson: You may not recognize her because she doesn’t have her signature hair, but she played Scully on X-Files. Remember now?
Suze Orman: Suze Orman, you too? Somehow, in my head, Suze Orman is too frugal to be gay. It’s okay if it doesn’t make sense to you. It doesn’t make sense to me either.
Matt Bomer: Say it isn’t so! Although I don’t follow White Collar, I am shocked that Matt is gay. No way!
My biggest gay shocker is definitely Matt Bomer. How can a man this beautiful be gay? I mean, look at his eyes. I think that for us straight people – especially the ones who grew up in places like Nigeria – we I expect gay women to be masculine and gay men to be feminine. Anything else would be a hard pill to swallow. My next gay shocker is Suze Orman. I cannot explain it, but she’s just too fiscally responsible to be gay. Ha!

Cynthia Nixon is not aging well as for Raven I still can’t get over her being gay she always looke dlike a girly girl to me you know the kind that has boys fawning all over her goes on a million dates has like twenty marriage proposals lol
Pendo, I agree with everything you said. I guess Suze has been so financial that we’ve never stopped to think of her in a sexual context. Suze Orman always equals money. I don’t know what’s going on with Cynthia, and I’m waiting for Raven Symone to say she’s no longer gay. Any day now. Lol.

Wow. What an offensive take on gay celebrities. Beautiful men can’t be gay? Gay men are feminine and gay women are masculine? Gay people aren’t fiscally responsible? It’s sad, this level of ignorance. It’s not cute or clever. It’s offensive.
