When it comes to travel, photography, and being anal, my mommy is my muse. My mom is a world traveler. She has always loved traveling (and taking pictures everywhere). When she tells me of places she’s been to and things she seen and done, I’m always so jealous because I have been a late bloomer. I am still catching up on discovering places, and there is so much to discover!
In the United States alone, there are 50 States, and I have been living in one for 15 years. It’s not that I am in the market for moving to a new City or State, but rather that I want to visit other places – inside and outside America. Going from one State to the other within America can sometimes feel like international travel. The flight is long, and the new City and State can literally be worlds apart from where you just came from. Example, all the palm trees in Florida make me feel like I’m somewhere in Nigeria, and I love it. There are no palm trees in Maryland (if there are, I haven’t met them).
As we must all know, traveling can be pretty expensive, but if there’s any way to make it easier, I am down for that, which is why when it comes to the Discover it Miles card, I’m all about that life. I am all over that life. When I first came to America, I did not understand the point of credit or owning a credit card, but I am now a believer. As a member of Discover it Miles, I get so many perks. First of all, that whole “No annual fee” thing is NOT a joke. Having an annual fee is a deal breaker, and I know that now. Thanks to Discover It Miles because I don’t have to pay a dime as an annual fee. Before I tell you about the perks of the Discover It Miles card, let me first tell you some of the places I dream of traveling to (and why) – in no particular order because I cannot decide what I want more than the other.
Russia: I know, I know. You’re probably wondering, who the heck wants to go to Russia? Well, me. It’s the Land of my birth, remember? I haven’t been back to Russia since my parents and I left.
Abu Dhabi: Because why not? Plus, ever since I saw Sex & The City 2 with the girls vacationing in Abu Dhabi, I have been dreaming of visiting. I have to visit!
Hawaii: It’s like being outside America while still being in America. When you live in a State that gets icy cold in the winter, a place that has warm weather is always beckoning. Plus, I want to go see the Land of my President’s birth.
Nigeria: Nigeria is technically not a vacation since it’s my home. But I haven’t been in 15 years, so I’m itching badly.
