Welcome to June.
June makes it official that we are in the middle of the year. Also that we are in the summer. I don’t like the summer, but summer usually comes with events and fun activities, which is why I went for two weddings in May. Anyway, my May was an easygoing month. Let’s recount.
Ada Verastic’s Birthday: Planning is in half-full swing. I have booked a couple of vendors, but I still don’t have a venue. And I still don’t know what the theme of the party will be. Also, I don’t know what I will wear, or what the celebrant will wear. But I’m excited. I hope she’ll be walking and dancing on that day. Speaking of Ada Verastic, I also celebrated my first Mother’s Day as a mommy. Thank You, Jesus!
Guest Posts: I published my first guest post in May, titled, “Why I Married A Nigerian Man” (written by Fiona). I have received several more submissions, and I am sorry to say that I have not even gotten a chance to read them. So if you sent me something, I’m sorry that I have not responded. I’ve marked them and filed them in their right folder, but I just need to read them and get back to you.
Business of blogging: In the month of May, I lost a $6000 contract that broke my heart in several places. I’m still not over it. I’m surprised I haven’t had a nightmare of chasing my six thousand dollars down the highway or something like that.
The Other Project: I’m still working on that other project that I haven’t detailed yet. I’ll tell you all about it when I’m ready to.
That’s pretty much it for my month of May. Told you it was easygoing. How was May for you?
