Hmmmmm.
Yesterday, I was @ my grandma’s house watching her rugrats cause she had to go for her doctor’s appointment (just in case she’s pregnant, lol). I was sleepy the whole day. It’s quite a pity that my body clock is off the regular clock; I mean, I sleep during the day and stay awake @ nite. I usually write @ night, you know, and I write @ nite because that’s when my brain works betta, and I can just focus and pour my thoughts out. No interruptions. No ringin’ phones. No IMs. No erh…I dunno what else, but I just know I write betta.
I was chatting with a friend of mine called Papa BomBoy (yes, that’s his name – don’t ask me any yeye questions), and he was telling me that Uju looks (in the pictures) as if we didn’t give her suya. Anywayz, the reason I’m mentioning this is because I just wanna tell every1 what Uju did @ the cookout. She kept taking food from the grill and saying it was for ‘mama’ (my grandma), and we kept wondering how come ‘mama’ has taken food so many times and still isn’t satisfied. It was only afta the cookout that we realized that half of the stuff that were supposed 2 enter ‘mama’s’ stomach actually entered Uju’s stomach. This kin friend sef! Sometimes, I wonder why I have not discarded her.
I am really disappointed in myself that I have still not finished my book; it’s a lot harder than I thought, but I am determined. I started the book on he final days of December 2005, and when I started, I thought I would be done by Feb 2006. What a joke! We are almost in August and I am still not done. It worries me that I am not done; I had no intention of writing it for such an extended period, but on the plus side, it’s a really good book. I’m not tryna toot my own horns, but I know it’s good. Besides, people that have read it thus far said it’s good. Ibukun is my most enthusiastic reader; her desire to read the book makes me wanna write more, just so that I don’t disappoint her. She even made me bring my laptop to the cookout! She really loves the book, and I truly, truly appreciate her for that.
Hmmmm, I’ve been looking at this big, black purse I have been carrying about, and even though I like it, I need to get me another one. Something that is ugh…trendier and more sophisticated. The kinda purse you’d see and swear there has to be at least $10, 000 in it, but then you open it to find just $10. Well, technically, $10 isn’t so far from $10,000…. just three zeros missing. Anyways, I’m gonna have to get one b4 I go for the NaijaFest on the 12th of next month. I seriously need 2 go shoppin, so I can get an outfit for the event. I already have a mental picture of what I wanna wear; I just need 2 have it physically. Gosh, but I’m broke. This isn’t such a bad time 2 explore having an arizto….abi how you take see am??
Abeg, lemme go do something else jare. I have been parading my house wearing just a green & white string bikini. Why did I have 2 tell you that? Told you I can’t shut up. On the plus side sha, I guess I could conclude that I’m tryna represent Naija with my underwear. After all, charity begins @ home.
Speakin of Naija, I wanna go for the independence march abi parade in New York. Hmmm, that means I need 2 go shoppin for the green and white outfit I’ll wear 2 support Naija. Oooh, I could also wear my green and white underwear! The good thing is that I have more than one green and white underwear (they have diff designs). It’s a three-day event, but I’m not interested in the after-party and all that ish. Maybe some other time. For now, I just wanna march the streets of NY in my green-white-green. I’ll post the website as soon as I get it.
Until then…. toodle-oo… (my ex used 2 say that; he sounded so gay! Xplains why he’s an ex, right? Hahaha).
Bye jare…
