The Simplicity Of Men? Or The Complexity Of Women?

Men are simple, that’s what I keep hearing. Personally, I don’t think they are simple per se; I just think they find us more complex than we find them – kind of like a lesser evil situation. Anyway, take a look at the funny-but-true picture after the cut. I cannot count how many times Igwe and I have had a friendly disagreement over this same issue.

I actually give the guy in the picture kudos for having a section for pink and purple. Usually, they’re classified as one. Or somehow bumped into the red category.

While this is a cartoon that was probably meant to be funny, it picks at the differences between men and women, which in my opinion, should be celebrated. But there are couples who have serious fights over things that are probably not controllable. Example, unless  the man is a fashionista – and I’m sure you would not want to use this word to describe your man – most men do not know or care to know much about colors like spring, salmon, and grape. Most men probably don’t know much about the difference between a dinner plate and a salad plate. Or a mug and a teacup. Or juice and juice cocktail. You get the point.

Enjoy the picture. Remember it the next time you (man) try to pick a fight with your woman for saying she will not drink coffee with a tablespoon. And remember that (woman) the next time your man comes out of the closet the third time and just as frustrated because he could not find your strawberry colored shirt. Just tell him it’s the pink one with the long sleeves and brooch big jewelry pinned in front.
