I am a proud lover of perfumes. You know that, right? Two years ago, I did a post about my perfume addiction. And although the picture from that post disappeared when I moved my blog, you can at least still see the names of the 29 bottles I had. I made a resolution to not buy anymore perfumes till I have emptied every last bottle. So far, I have 16 bottles left. Last one I emptied was Mediterranean by Elizabeth Arden. And I’m very proud of myself because when Igwe attempted to buy me Pour Femme by Bvlgari (number one on my wanted list), I stood my ground and said no. *Pats self on back* But this happened before I found out about iFragrance. You know, the new-iPad-smell perfume. No really, that’s what it is. It’s the perfume that smells like a new iPad. Or rather, like a new Apple product.
As a proud iPad user (I bought mine on the day it became available), I am disappointed in myself for not taking the extra time to savor the smell of my new iPad. Had I known then that there a perfume was in the works to mirror that distinct and oh-s0-forgettable smell of my new iPad, I would have, maybe, wrapped mine up in a ziplock to lock up the fragrance.
Basically, what I am trying to tell you is that the Aussie art collective, Great Hits has partnered up with perfume makers, Air Aroma to create a brand new perfume – one that smells like a new Apple product. Until I discovered this new invention, I did not even realize that new Apple products have a particular smell. The problem now is that my newest (and only) Apple product is two months old and the smell has vanished. It now smells like whatever perfume I’m wearing at the moment.
I hate to break your heart, but iFragrance isn’t available for sale yet. Strange, huh? But you know what perfume I’d like to wear and sell? It’s the New-Post-On-Verastic-Dot-Com perfume. Ever heard?
