The title of this post may have you thinking, “Yeah, so what?” Well, last year, I blogged about having spotted a billboard that said Jesus Christ would be returning on May 21st 2011. Today is May 23rd 2011. The world should have ended two days ago. I meant to put up a blog post yesterday, but clearly, that didn’t happen. Let me refresh your memory.
On July 28th 2010, I put up a post titled, Save The Date — Not! In it, I talked about spotting the above billboard which said that believers would be raptured on May 21st 2011. I visited their website and read more. It turns out that on October 21st, the world would be destroyed — according to the same people who also predicted that believers would be raptured two days ago.
Now, if you’re currently reading this post, it can only mean one of three things (1) They were kinda, sorta really, really, REALLY wrong about the date of rapture, or (2) It did occur, and you’re still here reading my blog because you’re clearly not a believer, or (3) Neither one nor two, but that’s just because Jega postponed the rapture date.
When I visited the site on May 21st 2011, it was actually nowhere to be found. I visited it on my computer and on my phone, and it had disappeared. The page could not be displayed. It’s back now, and I’m surprised that they have not made any statement to acknowledge that May 21st has gone, but their highly predicted and publicized rapture did not come to pass. This reminds me of the Y2K fiasco in 1999. I’m now wondering how many people have sold their properties in anticipation of this rapture.
I guess we have to wait for October 21st 2011. Or not. I don’t believe it’s possible for us to know when Jesus would return. However, if it is possible to know, these people do not appear to be the ones we should be getting that information from.
Once again, I repeat: Shine Your Eyes.

we were left behind, every single one of us

I know, right? It appears that every single one of us (including the people that predicted it) were left behind. Oh, what to do, what to do.

people actually sold their property in anticipation of the rapture?? that’s jst dumb.
Vera Ezimora says
I don’t know that people definitely sold their properties, but in the past, that has been the general behavior, so I was just wondering if someone did it again this time. There is always someone who will go above and beyond their call of duty — whatever that may be.
