Lately, I have been craving so many darn things. The bad thing is that I am not even getting them. What kinda world is this? A world where no1 cares 2 tender 2 Vera’s needs?! This isn’t a good world oh, and for every1 who has been ignoring my cravings, I just want the person (or people) to know that God will judge you (them)!
Now, what have I been craving?
- Pounded yam and egwusi soup – this has been my number one i-gotta-have-it
- Suya – this is pretty much a standard craving; i.e. I don’t think I would ever stop craving it.
- Yam and egg-stew – another standard craving
- Cooked yam with oil, pepper, and ukpaka – yum yum
- Cooked yam, vegetables and ugba – yes, I love yam and anything that has to do with it.
- Pizza crusts – yeap, you read it right. I’m not craving the pizza itself; just the crust.
- Cake – thanks to my cousin, Ngo in London; she sent me a picture of her wedding cake and now I want some!
- Isi ewu – definitely a standard craving; I’ll neva stop craving it
- Gala – that snack they sell in Naija (gosh, it’s been so long; tooooo long!)
- Okpa – I think this is an Igbo meal. I dunno the name in English and I dunno what it’s made of, but I want it. It’s kinda like moimoi and it’s made in a leaf (which I hope is sanitized)
- Bread and hot, spicy akara – this craving was ignited because my momma made some akara the other day, but there was no bread.
- Mede-mede – this is something we made in high skool in Naija. I’m sure all skools did it, but they all had different names for it. It consists of cabin biscuits, milk, sugar and water (and Bournvita/Milo/Ovaltine if you like, but I did it without it)
- Granola bars – this has become my favorite snack. Just the oatmeal one though
- Akamu with milk and sugar – I cannot xpain why I want this, but I do!
- Roasted corn – During my family cookout two months ago, we roasted some corn that was hardly enough for everyone, so since then I have been wanting some.
Sooooo, if any of you very nice people decide to send gimme one of the things I’m cravings, lemme know. Don’t send me food o! I have 2 go with you 2 buy it. I don’t know you like that; abi you wan poison me?
