I watched and faithfully followed the first few seasons of American Idol, and then I got bored. Igwe, on the other hand, loves this show and it’s sister, X Factor. He couldn’t get me to like The Voice though. I still think it’s a lame show. Even he, got tired of it too. Anyway, my person Phillip Phillips won, and I am very excited! Here’s Jessica Sanchez singing “You’re Gonna Love Me” with Jennifer Holiday. Powerful!!! It’s not Jessica Sanchez that fascinates me; it’s Jennifer Holiday. Look at all the faces she’s making: the widening of her mouth, the bouncing of her hair, her facial expressions … wow. So much passion in there.
Here’s Joshua Ledet singing, “When A Man Loves A Woman.” The way he sang the song so passionately, it’ll make any woman listen to the lyrics and wonder if her man really loves her. If you did not like Joshua before this, this might have been the performance that won you over.
And finally, here’s Joshua Ledet again singing with his idol. Fantasia Burino, winner of American Idol Season 3. I’m indifferent about Fantasia (though I do acknowledge that she can sing), but I am definitely not indifferent to this outfit she wore. What the heck is that?!?!
Now that American Idol is done, I have moved on to a show I’ve always liked: So You Think You Can Dance.

And once again it is reaffirmed that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong. No one reckoned he would make top 2, and then he went and won it! Well deserved win. Joshua and Jessica are winners in their own rights too, they will all go far.
I totally agree. Jessica and Joshua may not have won the coveted American Idol title and trophy, but the journey has really only started for them. Like you said, they will go very far.
Honestly, Vera, I stopped following American Idol years ago (because they never pick anyone I am rooting for), but I watch it every now and then.
I have to agree with you though. Jennifer Holiday’s face was very entertaining to watch (I put it on mute and just watched at some point. Enjoyed it even better). And I love Jennifer Sanchez’s dress. Oh, she can sing too!
