I first heard of Chigul last year … or was it two years ago? At that time, she had not ballooned into the popular jingo that she is now. By the way, I learned the term “popular jingo” after I already left Nigeria. Never, ever heard of it in Nigeria. It was when I was voted for the Popular Jingo category in Nigerian Blog Awards that I first heard of it and then proceeded to do my research. But I digress.
I have learned that the more popular a person is, the harder it is to get to them. Not because they are now cocky or proud, but because they have now become busier. Just as I want to get to them, so do others. So when I set out to get Chigul’s voice drop for The Verastic Show, I was not sure how the journey will end. And it’s not even the end yet of our journey yet.
It ended well. Hear for yourself.

P.S. Anyone know how I can get a voice drop from my President, Barack Obama? 😀 Don’t laugh. I’m doing things that certain people thought I would never do.

She’s too talented. And to think she actually doesn’t talk anything close to her stage character. Amazing!
