With Fiber One, You Can Snack Deliciously

I met and fell in love with Fiber One some years ago when my mom had what seemed to be an unnatural addiction to fiber. It was as if she just rediscovered it. The house was full of everything Fiber One, and both mom and I used to fight for the last bit of cereal. Years later, I’m still not over Fiber One, which is why I couldn’t wait to dig in when I had the opportunity to eat some snacks.

Speaking of snacks, the struggle! Is there anyone who does not need to snack? If so, tell me your secrets, please. I remember when I developed an obsession with a particular cheese danish, until the day I dared to look at the caloric count: almost 600 calories! Well, that was it. That was how that relationship ended. I think it’s safe to say that most people want to eat or snack right, but the choices are limited. They either have too many bad stuff or they don’t taste good. If it feels like you’re eating a cardboard, you probably are.

Life was coasting along normally until I came home one day and Igwe asked me if I was going into retail with Fiber One products. Huh? In my living room sat all these boxes of Fiber One, all for little ol’ me to enjoy. You know what I did first? I called my mommy to rub it in her face. Then I warned Igwe to back off of my Fiber One! But he’s been like a little, anxious dog, circling it longingly and giving me googly eyes. Not working, Igwe.

Strawberry Cheesecake Bar

For the purpose of this post, I’m only going to tell you about two snacks (you can’t handle them all at once; you can’t handle the truth!). I’m starting off with the strawberry cheesecake bar because in case you have not figured it out, I love snacks with cheese in them.

Sorry I tore the wrap like an animal

This snack is ONLY 150 calories. It’s like it’s not even real, like it’s something made for out of this world. One thing that I absolutely love about this snack is that it’s individually wrapped in the amount you should eat. You know how a snack says something like “Serving Size: 2,” well, that’s usually where I fail the test. And of course, in true Fiber One style, it contains 20% daily value of fiber.

90 Calorie Chewy Bar

I fell in love with granola bars in high school. I don’t remember if I have shared this on the blog or not. I share so much that I sometimes can’t remember what I shared. But yeah, back in high school, I’d buy a granola bar for $0.60. Now that I’m a tiny bit older *cough* I still love my granola bars, and I love them a little more when I don’t feel guilty about eating them. This granola bar has 90 calories per bar and also 20% of the daily value of fiber. The point of the Fiber One snacks isn’t for you to stop snacking. If not snacking was a viable option, we wouldn’t need to be having this conversation. Truth is that sometimes we want to eat something without eating a whole meal. I love fruits, but sometimes I want something else. We already have the craving. What Fiber One does it to provide delicious ways to satisfy our craving(s) while maintaining our weight. So you don’t have to fight your instincts. Go on. Have one.

I’m saying all this while snacking on a delicious strawberry cheesecake. Speaking of delicious strawberry cheesecakes, there’s a whole box missing, and I’m pretty sure I know the culprit.
