Summer Is For Traveling (And For Heat)

How many times have I mentioned just how much I loathe the summer heat? It’s not the summer that I loathe, but the heat that comes with it. If I have to pick between winter and summer, I’ll pick winter. No second thoughts. However, I can claim to like winter all I want, but winter does not let me be great.

Summer has something that winter does not have a lot of: traveling, parties, weddings, cookouts, graduations, and yes, fun. It’s not that winter has no events, but summer just has so much more. As much as I don’t care for the heat, I am looking forward to traveling this summer. I’ll be attending the BlogHer16 conference in Los Angeles, California this year, and we will be using that trip as an opportunity to go sight seeing as a family.

I’m super excited about the trip because Igwe has never been to a blog conference with me, and this will be Ada Verastic’s first time. Although, technically, she went with me to two conferences last year. She was still cooking in the belly, but she was still there, no?

So anyway, I’m looking forward to the summer and all the actual and potential trips we will be taking. And I can’t forget to keep my skin safe while at it. Although, this will be a new kind of summer for me because I also have to think about Ada Verastic’s skin.
