Meet Louise and Martine, identical twins, 70 years old, Red Light District employees, and retired. Louise and Martine have been working as prostitutes for over 50 years, and between them both, they have had about 355,000 men. They say they’ve been working because they need the money and the government pension is too small to live of off.
But now they’re retiring because they’re suffering from arthritis and having a hard time attracting new clients. Well, that’s weird. I don’t see any reason why they’ll be having a hard time attracting new clients. They’re young, beautiful, healthy, attractive … alive. So why the heck not?? Martine does say that she still has a regular and “I couldn’t give him up, he’s been coming to me for so long like it’s like going to church on a Sunday.” Exactly. It’s just like church on Sunday O_O
The twins have completed their book, ‘The Ladies Of Amsterdam,’ and last year, their documentary premiered. You can watch the preview below.
The New York Times reviewed the documentary and concluded that underneath all the cheeriness lies a “familiar story of poverty, male violence, lost children and a fight for independence.” I tend to agree because I don’t think that these twins went into (and continued) prostitution because it was their dream job. I think they felt like it was their only option. And that’s quite unfortunate.
P.S. 355,000 men though? That’s about 177,500 each. *faints*
P.P.S. Their last name is Fukkens. As in Fuckings. Their Fukkens destiny was set in stone. They stood no chance.

Hmm I’m surprised no Nigerian has commented on how their “bad luck” was caused by their last name. “Chei! They should go and do deliverance. The last name is possessed and that is why they’re like that.” I know someone named shoemaker and he/she is far from being a shoemaker oh, lol! But it really is unfortunate like you said.

Hahaha. Well, it’s not over yet. Someone will say it soon. LOL. And yeah, it’s totally unfortunate that at the age of 70, they retired from prostitution of all careers.
