I don’t remember how I stumbled upon this bewilderment that is the Rape aXe = anti rape condom, but maybe I just need clarification from you guys – although chances are that you will be just as bewildered as I am. I think that the idea of an anti rape condom is a beautiful thing because I can only imagine how many women will be safe from having to go through that trauma. The anti rape condom was developed by a brilliant South African woman, Sonette Ehlers who works as a blood technician.
On their website, it says that “If men can use their bodies as a weapon of attack … well then it’s time for women to do the same!” I could not find a written description of the condom on this site (maybe I didn’t look well), but I did find it on another site.
Still, I don’t understand this anti rape condom. So check out the product and description below:
Description: The Rape aXe is a latex sheath embedded with shafts of sharp, inward-facing microscopic barbs that would be worn by a woman in her vagina like a tampon. If an attacker were to attempt vaginal rape, their penis would enter the latex sheath and be snagged by the barbs, causing the attacker pain during withdrawal and (ideally) giving the victim time to escape. The condom would remain attached to the attacker’s body when he withdrew and could only be removed surgically, which would alert hospital staff and police. This device could assist in the identification and prosecution of rapists.
There are only two problems questions:
1. Are women supposed to wear this in their vagina all day, every day (since no one knows when an attack is imminent)?
2. Or do rapists send out press releases to detail their day, time, and venue of attack?
P.S. This anti rape condom isn’t new. It’s at least five years old. However, this isn’t the only anti rape condom out there, so the same questions apply to the newer ones.
P.P.S. Just to be clear, I am all for the idea of a woman using her body as weapon of attack, as long as it is done in self defense. And in this case, wearing the anti rape condom is clearly self defense.
P.P.P.S. We can only hope now that a disgruntled wife does not wear this to show her husband a whole new level of pepper.
P.P.P.P.S. When I saw the picture of the woman holding the penis with the condom on it, all I thought was, my, my, my … what a large penis.

hahaha this is funny, where do U find these stories…on a more serious note, wont the rapist murder the victim if he encounters those barbs?
