GRANDFATHERED On FOX Is Almost Here!

Remember the show I told you about a while ago – GRANDFATHERED? Well, it’s here! To be precise, GRANDFATHERED airs every Tuesday at 8/7c on FOX starting tonight! Mark your calendar.

I attended the show at #BlogHer15 where we got to watch the full first episode, and I loved it. I even got to take a picture with Josh Peck.

GRANDFATHERED (Creator/Writer, Daniel Chun; Director/Executive Producer, Chris Koch; Executive Producer, Dan Fogelman) is a sophisticated show about Jimmy Martino (played by the yummy, ageless John Stamos) who is a career bachelor and successful restaurateur. He’s the kind of man who takes his time in the bathroom to look good for everything. He never has a hair out of place, and of course, he does not have the burden of a wife and kids. Career bachelor, remember? You can imagine what his perfect life is like.

Then 6 seconds later, everything changes. In walks Gerald (played by Josh Peck). He introduces himself as Jimmy’s son, and before Jimmy can process what he just heard, Gerald also introduces his daughter, Edie (Jimmy’s grand father). Sure, she’s absolutely adorable, but where does one go from here?

Imagine how you’d feel if one day you’re the most eligible bachelor (as far as you know it) and then the next day, you are someone’s father and grandfather. He had no time to prepare to be a father, and worse, no time to prepare to be a grandfather. One of the many questions now: who will be the father between Jimmy and Gerald? Because technically, Gerald has more experience than his father at being a father. As if Jimmy does not have enough to deal with, he also has to try to teach his son, Gerald how to not be friend-zoned by Vanessa, the mother of his baby. Considering how good Jimmy is at being a bachelor, maybe he will have more success here than at being a father and grandfather. Or will he?

In spite of the hard shell Jimmy Martino has on the outside, there was actually a time in his life that he was very much in love. You’d have to watch the show to find out more! GRANDFATHERED airs every Tuesday at 8/7c on FOX starting tonight!
