It’s been a week since I was honored to speak at the Listen To Your Mother Show, and I can honestly say that I’m still very high from the event. I wish we could do this every weekend! Before the show started, my heart was pounding gbim gbim like it was going to jump out of my chest, but as soon as my name was called, I walked “majestically” to the podium. In fact, I stood up before my name was completely called. Igwe, Ada Verastic, Grandma, Aunt Chinelo, Aunt Ifeoma, Funmie, and Solachi all came to support me. I don’t have pictures of Grandma and my aunties because I just remembered they’re not on my phone. I think they’re on Aunt Chinelo’s phone, and it’s almost 4:00 AM!
I don’t have a video of my performance yet because the professional videographer is still working on it, but once it’s out, you’ll be first to know. Meanwhile in between time, here’s a video I shot of the happenings before and after the event. Watch, subscribe, and share. Thank you, Sweet Potatoes!
