Yesterday, my mind wandered off to cookies. Specifically, snicker doodles from The Great Cookie. Those cookies are ah-may-zeen. So as I drove home, my mind was made up to go get some snicker doodle cookies, but only for $2 because I knew I would eat everything, no matter how much I bought. But then, I thought of oatmeal cookies. And I remembered that I was just studying the recipe for oatmeal raisin cookies. Plus, I already had most of the ingredients.
My cookies came out with interesting shapes, but they were still yummy. I was concerned they would be crunchy, but thankfully, they weren’t. They were chewy, just the way I like them. If you do make these cookies, be sure to read the recipe well. I was so sure that it called for yeast, so I didn’t buy yeast from the store because I have some at home. When I got ready to start, I realized that the recipe actually called for baking soda. I was hoping that baking soda would work the same way as yeast, so I went on Twitter to ask.
Quick question for the #Cooks: Is baking soda the same thing as yeast infection?

What I really meant to ask was, “Is baking soda the same thing as yeast?” But somehow, infection always comes after yeast. No thanks to all the Monistat commercials that have been coming on TV recently. Yes, yes, people had a fun time laughing at me and my tweet.
If you are interested in making these cookies for yourself, you can find the exact recipe I used here.

Lucid, no be my fault nah! Lol. Besides, even if I give him yeast infection, it will be the sweet one. Loool! I don’t even know what the hell that means.

Looks yummy. But sweet yeast infection? LOL…Vera!
Vera Ezimora says
Myne, that is my story, and I am sticking to it! Hahaha. Don’t judge it. Besides, it’s not my fault that they call it yeast. Maybe they need to either change the name of yeast infection or change the name of yeast. Then the confusion will be over.
