I recently went to girls’ night out with Solachi, Funmie, Ibukun, and Tim, but that’s not the girls’ night out I’m talking about. I had another girls’ night out with another group of girls. This one was with my work friends, Lisa, Tasha, Jemela, and Jennifer. Coincidentally, we had it at TGIF, too. No, I didn’t pick the venue. As a matter of fact, it’s mere coincidence that I have gone to TGIF twice in such short time.
It happened on Saturday. We talked about how most of us are pretty much too lazy to put on proper clothes and go anywhere. We work from home most times, and for me, especially, I don’t wear anything other than underwear and a t-shirt, and I’m not apologizing. So basically, we thought we should hang out and NOT talk about work, and we had to wear heels. Firstly, we did talk about work. Secondly, only Jennifer and I wore heels! But it was a very fun talk.
Before I left, I begged Igwe to please take pictures of me. My plan was to look casual and wear comfortable heels. Funmie bought me the shoes a year or two ago, and it was my first time finally wearing them.
Remember in my last What I Wore [to Faith’s wedding] post, I mentioned that I wanted to take pictures in a different location? Well, Igwe got the bright idea that we should do it in the “back yard” (said in the typical Nigerian accent). While standing there, my heels kept digging into the sand, and I was not happy. Igwe didn’t see it as a big deal, but it was messing with my gait. So I don’t like most of the pictures we took there, except these two. I like the ones by the door better.
That’s it for my outfit. I don’t know where the shoes came from, but I got the top and the pants from Macy’s. I love statement tees (and t-shirts in general). I searched Macy’s site up and down to find the items, so I can link them for you, but I didn’t see it. I bought them in store. Sowwiee.

Thank you, Kevwe! It’s Marley hair. Don’t remember the brand. I just went to the store and picked up the first Marley hair I saw.

Bia Vera what happened to The Verastic Show? Are you off air for good?
Vera Ezimora says
Pendo, The Verastic Show isn’t off air for good, but scheduling is a prob;em for me right now. Nne, so much is going on that I can’t really blog about. Yet. Has nothing to do with Gidilounge though. It’s been all me and my timing.

Haha. You’re making my head swell. I got both the top and the pants from Macy’s. The top is a Marilyn Monroe top. I couldn’t find it online, but maybe it’s available at the store.
