Leonardo DiCaprio Has Never Touched Drugs?

Never? Never, ever? Wow. I am impressed.  It’s not that I expected him to be a drug addict, but there are just too many stories of celebrities being bad floating around the place. One thing they all say is how difficult it is to be so rich and famous and all the pressure that is put on them. Boo hoo, cry me a river.

But knowing that Leonardo has never touched drugs is simply impressive. Depending on how you look at it though, you may argue that he has indeed touched a type of drug since he does drink, but even at that, it’s nice to see a big celebrity who isn’t falling for the temptation of drugs. Of course, the same cannot be said about his love for addiction to beautiful women. Who can blame him?

When I watch Wendy’s show, she always makes comments about how everyone has smoked weed at one point in their life, and every time she says it, I’m thinking, no, Wendy, everyone has not smoked weed. I, myself, have never seen weed, cocaine, or heroine. And I definitely have never seen meth, molly, or ecstasy. I’m assuming I haven’t mentioned any drug twice. If I have ever seen any of these drugs, I am not aware of it.

It’s not that I want to sound like a good girl – no, not at all. I know that there are many people who, like me, have never seen or done any kind of drugs, but I am just particularly impressed with Leonardo. Too many young and talented people – recently, Philip Seymour Hoffman – have died due to drug overdose – so it’s refreshing to see a young, famous, and talented actor who isn’t about that life. I hope he inspires the likes of Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus.

Leonardo said he doesn’t do and has never done drugs because he grew up poor and around a lot of drug abuse, so he made the choice – even before Hollywood – to not be a part of that life. So while many celebrities are doing whatever it takes to belong, he just whistled on by.
