Now, you know that I have been reminiscing on old posts and bloggers, right? So back in the day, I was the ashewo blogger and the envy of all the female bloggers (whether they admit it or not) because I had three wonderful blog husbands: Boorish Male, Guy Horny, and Naija Bloke. You know what’s so cool about it? I still keep in touch with ALL of them.
Boorish Male: He was the certified bad boy of Blogville. Most of his posts were about women, sex, relationships. The badder he was, the more we (women) loved him. He told us stories about women whose hearts were broken by him, like the woman who tried to set him on fire. He was anonymous, as was I, too. He once wrote a post for me – titled Vera Ezimora – and I saved it on my computer. Glad I did because his blog is now open only to invited readers.
I had a number listed publicly, maybe an AOL number or something like that. And I did not know much about Boorish Male until I heard his voice on my voice mail. It was deep and hella sexy, with an English accent. I just had to know who he was. And that was how my relationship with Boorish Male started. We visited each other’s blogs and became friends offline. He was naughty offline, too. It’s been years, but we still keep in touch. We don’t talk every day, or even every month, but we definitely keep in touch.
Naija Bloke: He doesn’t blog much anymore, but he’s pretty active on Twitter. His last blog update was in October of last year. He, too, was anonymous. I first met him in 2007 at Solachi’s wedding. And I’ve seen him a couple of times after that, too. Come June of this year, I most likely would see him again when I go to Florida. He blogged mostly about funny or weird things. Funmie will kill me for saying this, but she used to drool for him, saying he was tall, dark, and handsome — which he is.
Guy Horny: Saving the best for last. Guy Horny was the one who told us so many tales about his sexcapades, especially with one Lindiwe like that. I envied her a little bit. He lived a double life on Blogville, but most people didn’t know, of course. He had a regular blog, and then, he had the Guy Horny blog which was his alter ego. We just had some very natural chemistry – not the romantic/sexual kind. We could talk forever about everything, like our relationships, blogging, money, life. He’s the one I am closest to and the one I communicate with very, very often – average of once a week.
Guy Horny is still around and I cannot elaborate on what that means exactly because people still don’t know who he is, and I will never, ever tell. His blog was porn in the written form. Unfortunately, he did like some other great bloggers and completely deleted his blog.
I don’t know why I keep remembering the old blogging days, but it’s like recently, I open a blog and I just wish I could read posts like the ones I used to read before where people would blog from their heart, about the things that were happening to them – whether painful, challenging, exciting, etc. I still have the post that Boorish Male wrote to me, and I will share it here next week. It even still has comments from people like Calabar Girl, Noni Moss, and Omodudu. Gooooood times!
P.S. I still don’t know who is naughtier between Boorish Male and Guy Horny. But I know that I won’t be left alone with Boorish Male in a room with a bed. Or a table. Or a kitchen counter. Or a couch. Or a floor.
P.P.S. I forgot to mention Baba Alaye. He was my boyfriend! The guy was illegally funny. He seemed like the kind of person you’d sit with and just laugh from dusk till dawn. Baba Alaye, if by some miracle you’re reading this, then I wanna know when we are gonna meet. Come on! For old blog’s sake 😀
Walks by quietly.
Lol. You don’t have to be so quiet.
*cough*

I would love to read Guy horny’s posts for research purposes of course. Meanwhile can’t seem to see that subscribe to follow up comments box again Vera did you take it out?
Pendo, see your mouth like research. That’s all you want ehn? Thanks for bringing the comment thing to my attention. It was mistakenly deactivated. I fixed it now.
I remember guy horny’s blog. I still came across boorish male’s recently but couldn’t view.
Even ur blogging has gone way past the 7yrs. Remember you started ‘blogging’ in an msn group. Fun times.
ChiefO, yes ooooo. I am not even counting Talk Naija as part of the blogging. But mehn, those were some mad fun days! *sigh*

Wow I definately remember the msn chat group days. you described boorish male perfectly. but you forgot babaalaye …
Aaaah, yes, Baba Alaye. He was my boyfriend. I don’t know if he ever became my husband. That guy was maaaaad funny! The things he used to write were just out of this world. I’d sit on his blog and laugh till I started crying. Would be great to meet him. But seeing as he was anonymous … 🙁
I remember baba alaye o. Was he not the one that saw the ‘flying monkey’ for chasing sikira from the motor park.
Chei. I don’t remember this detail oh. But you are probably right.

Fufu,
(In Uju’s words) You did not tell me it was a secret. But then you’ve come here and admitted your guilt anyway. So thanks. Lol.

Overwhelmed, t-minx,36 inches, exschoolnerd, noni moss, solomonsydelle, catwalq, etc! Man, blogville was FUN! Wish they’d all reincarnate…
Ugo Daniels is (was?) on Twitter. I don’t know if he’s still there. I still keep in touch with Overwhelmed via text sometimes. I wish they’d reincarnate, too.
Aawgh….Belle,bimbylads,36inches,Life of A Stranger Called Me, 3T’s of Tunde, afrolicious babe, and so many more. You guys please come out of your hiatus. Naija blogville needs the fun people.
I loved Life of a Stranger Called Me. I remember she lived in Italy and she eventually got married. She had sent me her wedding website 🙁 I miss her. And I remember Belle and Bimbylads (Bimby wrote a book). We should totally have some type of meet-up in Lagos. I’ll focus more on that when I have an actual date to be in Lagos.
Hey Vera… Not sure if you remember… We had an epic battle on some chat forum that we all used to be on waaaaaaaay back. Boy was it brutal!! Heard about you from Babasola and joined the forum and we had serious words over something I can’t remember now… We did kiss n make up afterwards sha… Lol! This was like 2003/2004… I think
Yes, of course. I remember! Lol. Well, I don’t remember what the blowout was about, but I definitely remember having it. It was on Talk Naija where I was NaijaSpice. Tehehehe. Those days are over. I am now going by my name. Lol. How are you?
