When you find out, please let me know. I will never, ever advise anyone to go into blogging for the fame and money because (1) It may never happen, and (2) If it does happen, it doesn’t happen easily or overnight. I love blogging. I really, really do. It’s actually my first job, no longer my second job. It started off as a hubby that turned into a non-paying second job volunteer job. Now, it has overtaken my first job. I don’t talk much about my [other] job here. Have you noticed?
I spend so much time on Verastic that it’s ridiculous. If I am not typing up a post, I’m thinking about a post to type up. Or tweaking something. Or adding/removing a plugin. Or responding to e-mails. Or Twitter. Or Facebook. Or Instagram. Speaking of Facebook, I put up a status update on Monday saying it was the best Monday ever and people should guess why. Some idiot from the pit of Idiot Land sent me a message to ask if it was a blow job — and did I like it.
I thought of 99 ways to curse him out, none of which I can write on here. Then I wondered why I was even bothering with him. Meanwhile, the thing I was doing that made my Monday so special was the Pit Bill Dalmation dog I was playing with. Her name is Fiona, and she’s awesome. She looks like a Pit Bull, but her skin is like a Dalmation (white, with black spots). So you see, when you encounter people like this guy, it makes you wonder.
Where was I? Oh yeah, blogging. There. Are. So. Many. Blogs. I mean, so many beautiful blogs. Sometimes, when I see the time and energy and passion and creativity bloggers put into their blogs, I am blown away! This thing takes so much time. And these bloggers give out so much information. It’s crazy. I am so proud to be a blogger. So, so proud. We are a force to be reckoned with.
Still. Sometimes I wonder what life would be like if I could just think the post in my head and have it miraculously appear on the world wide web. Then, as soon as the post appears, it is followed by e-mails upon e-mails from brands that I love, asking me how many millions they can pay me — and would I be available to be interviewed on CNN. And Huffington Post. And ABC. And Oprah’s Next Chapter. And so much more. I can’t be the only one thinking this. Right?
Right now, I’m literally bouncing off the walls with ideas. Most of these ideas center around my blog. I am still a one-woman army though. It’s not easy doing it all by myself. Blogging. Responding to comments. Replying e-mails. Tweeting. Facebooking. Instagramming. Meeting deadlines of sponsored posts. Doing The Verastic Show. Finding Co-hosts. Thinking of show ideas. MC’ing events. And so much more.
But you know what? If I had to do it all over again, the only thing I would change is that I would start blogging sooner. Thank you to everyone for reading this blog. You make it all worth it. I love you. And err, no, I don’t know yet how to blog without blogging.
UPDATE: Here’s a picture of Fiona because Odesh left a comment stating her disappointment, and I just can’t sleep at night knowing that Odesh is disappointed. I didn’t include the picture before because it’s not a very clear picture, but it’ll just have to do for now.
Odesh, are you happy now? 😉
Odesh says
As soon as you talked about Fiona, I scrolled all the way to the end of the post to see if there was a picture of her. I was disappointed but I still went back to read the rest of the post sha.

Well, I couldn’t live with disappointing you, so I fixed it! 🙂

Nope, i don’t do dogs, no pets. Well there are 2 fishes in the house and we’ve kept them since december
Vera Ezimora says
Fish don’t count. They’re boring. I’ve had too many of them, and I want something bigger — and interactive.
Toin says
We kinda sorta love you too. Keep doing what you do.
P.S: I find it annoying that i get the most wonderful ideas for my blog in the bathroom and what happens when i’m done in there? It’s gone…just like that. I don’t remember nothing. Nada. Zilch #sigh
Vera Ezimora says
Hahahaha. I totally understand! I have a note app on my phone that I use to always jot down ideas. I used to use a little notebook, but I don’t carry it everywhere, so the ideas get lost. My phone, however, is everywhere. My problem is that I compose the best posts in my head. It doesn’t always translate to the blog when I attempt to start writing it. Lol.
Odesh says
Aaaawwww she’s so pretty in her shy-like pose….and I was surprised you put up her picture but I’m happy you did. Thanksss!!!
Vera Ezimora says
Yup. Fiona is a beautiful dog. Well, you were disappointed — so I figured I should fix that 😀

I wish that whenever something pops up in my head, it goes straight to my blog. typing is so difficult
Vera Ezimora says
I wish the same thing, too. You have nooooo idea!

Don’t we all wish we could make billions and billions! Blogging isn’t easy, i’m constantly either writing up a blog post or filming for youtube/ editing/ tweeting… amending my blog. BTW… what do you you think of the way my blog is looking like lately?
Vera Ezimora says
Girl, I visited your blog, and I loved it! So colorful. It’s like ice cream colors. Lol. Good job with the videos. I haven’t dared into that avenue yet. Lol.
