I remember when tags used to fly around Blogville like it was the common cold, and we were all catching it. Everyone was doing one kind of tag or the other. I notice now that there’s been a Stylish and Versatile award tag flying around. Close your eyes, Vera. If you don’t comment, no one would ever know you really knew about it. Wrong!!! I was awarded tagged twice. So, seven things about myself. I don’t even know what I’m going to tell you now that you don’t already know about me, but I’ll try.
P.S. *INSERT IGBO GIRL ATTITUDE* Thanks to Just Joxy and Rose of Sharon for this award.
1. I can’t swim to save my life. I can’t even float. Learning to swim is on my to-do list for the summer.
2. Billie Jean is my favorite Michael Jackson song. Some day, I’ll feature it in Lyrics & Vera.
3. I grew up in Jos, but I only speak a little bit of Hausa. Mu na ji Hausa kadan, kadan.
4. I paint my toes all year round – winter, summer, spring, and fall.
5. I’ve wanted to be all sorts of things: a gynecologist, a lawyer, a doctor, a nurse, a dancer, a singer, a teacher, and much more.
6. Most times, before I attend any party, I have to listen to “party music” long before the party. It puts me in the mood to party.
7. I am now 34, 832 words into my book manuscript.
Now, seeing as most people have already done this tag, I beg to bend the rules a bit. I’m not going to tag anyone, but if you’re reading this, consider yourself tagged. I guess you can always comment it anyway.

P.P.S. It’s been a lottttt of fun reading the comments from the Verastic 5th anniversary giveaway. The bad news is all good things must end. Wait, not all sha. I don’t want any good thing in my life to end. Oh, but the good thing, however, is that you still have about twenty-four hours to mark present. Maybe your comment will be the 742nd one. Click here.
Firsttttttttttttt; now to go read.
Yay!!! Congrats on being first 🙂
Pelli…. blow off*
Funmie, stop being a harer, please.
So I learnt a new thing today – U listen to party music to “get in the mood” for a party?
I say no more.
Yes ooo. Ah, ah. I can’t be the only one who does this. There’s just something about listening to loud party music that gets me excited and ready to parrrrrrtaaayyyyy! *dancing*
Ni ma, ina jin kada kada. Yaya ki ke yau?
I meant kadan kadan. Walahi na gaji.
Oh, and btw, na gan hoton ki.
Chei! Joxy has finished me. Running off to think about “na gan hoton ki”
… Can’t figure out this hoton word. Bia, are you sure it’s not German? LOL
Okay V, here it is in another language. Mo ti ri aworan e.
*Sigh* I’ve been staring at your comment since tryna decipher the ‘ki ke yau’ I hate when I can’t remember. Help, please?
I have returned. My yau is dada! (Yes, Hausa + Yoruba … and English sef) cause I gat it like that! LOL.
Yaya ki ke? How are you?
Vera,
No 5, you wanted to be all that, ….so what are you now?
and on your No 6, that is just typical of you.
How have you been, and please…don’t end the giveaway o
Ooooh. Very good question. I’m a writer.
LOL @ number 6 being typical of me. I can’t possibly be the only one who listens to party music to get in the mood for a party.
LOL @ not ending the giveaway. Leave it open for ever? Ever, ever?
From No. 5…question is what are you now???
Wishing you all the best with the book….you have made so much progress (amidst your very busy schedule) & hope you still get the time to learn swimming…
Happy New Year
Now, I’m a writer … budding on so many more. Amen. Thanks for the wishes, Rita b’anyi. I musto learn that swimming by force oh.
