Sharita Daniels Obiora was my first political candidate interviewee. We had a wonderful and informative thirty-minute show today on Verastically Speakin’. Sharita is running for the office of Baltimore City Council (in District 2).
Today on Verastically Speakin,’ I had the privilege of speaking with Sharita and asking her questions that you may have wanted to ask her, like what makes her different from her opponents, like who can vote for her, like what else you can do for her apart from giving her your vote, her plans for immigrants and immigration, and perhaps, why an American woman like her has Obiora attached to her name. Sharita answered all that and much more. You may listen to the thirty-minute segment HERE.
To vote for Sharita, you have to be a Baltimore City resident and a declared democrat. To donate to Sharita’s campaign, you have to be a U.S. citizen. To volunteer your services, you don’t have to be either. However, to find out more about Sharita and her campaign, go to her website www.sharitadanielsobiora.com. You may also contact her via e-mail at sharitamd [at] hotmail dot com or via telephone at 1.410.929-4040 or at her P.O.BOX 16804 Baltimore, MD 21206.
Early voting is on September 1st, September 2nd, September 3rd, September 6th, September 7th, and September 8th from 10 AM to 8 PM. Regular voting is on September 13th from 7 AM to 8 PM.
Once again, you may listen to Sharita Daniels Obiora right HERE.

Go Sharita!! Wish you all the best.
Just reminds me of how messed up our own nation is. Where an Ibo man born and bred in Kano cannot/nevr dream of having a political office.
One day, one day..

Ginger,
You’re right. When my Igbo friend Fox says he’ll be the first Igbo Governor of Lagos State, everyone laughs. It sucks that we find it funny. Cause in people’s minds, we’re like … pssshhhhhtttt! An Igbo man? In Lagos? Abegiiiii!
But here in America —- all I can say is God bless the United States of America.
