I’m not sure when my obsession with and addiction to perfumes started, but I just know that the list of perfumes I want keep getting longer. I actually haven’t bought one in a while (with the exception of the last one I bought *cough*), so I’m doing pretty good, but that doesn’t mean that my list of wanted perfumes isn’t growing. The title of my life of wanted perfumes reads: Wanted: Full or Half! Here’s a picture of what I have right now.

29. Tommy Girl by Tommy Hilfiger (love this! Permanently stationed in the glove compartment of the car for my in-case-I-forget-to-use-perfume-before-leaving-the-house days).

35. Covet by Sarah Jessica Parker (lost the spray thingy. Haven’t been able to use this in months).

Out of the 38 listed above, I only have 29 left. Darn. That’s sad. These people are milking me. Although I cannot find my list of wanted perfumes, the top four – in order of preference – are clear:
1. Pour Femme by Bvlgari (My all time gotta-have-it)
2. Romance by Ralph Lauren (Have loved this since Nigeria)
3. Miracle Forever by Lancome (Started loving this after purchasing Tresor [number 5 on the list])
4. Pleasures by Estee Lauder (My second love from Nigerian)
I confess I have this problem, and admission, they say, is the first step to healing. However, I do not wish to be healed or cured of this addiction. I love perfumes. A big smile creeps up on my face when someone says, “You smell good.” I don’t use the perfumes for validation from people, of course, but smelling good is a favorite past time of mine.
So, what are you smelling like today?
Jeez Vera.. we are pretty much neck to neck. I kept naming the perfume in the pictures until I saw the list.But unlike you.. I feel soo wacko that I give out my perfumes not wait for people to see them.
I have/ had most of the stuff you have but my all time favorite is Eden .. if you haven't tried it add to your list.

Romance and Lola by Marc Jacobs is doing it for me now. Got Parisenne by YSL but got tired of that now. Also Euphoria. Idole by Armani was a major fuck up. Thank God I got the small bottle.Gee I am not that bad like you! 29 huh? Hat off to you!

I'm not a perfume person. I always have to remind myself to use the ones I have. One is Idole (Armani) and a cute minature Bulgari collection. But mostly I smell of Dove deodrant 🙂

Sleekiest: Hmmmm. Eden. Sounds pleasant. I have gotten so many recommendations from this post. I am sorry for myself. You give your perfumes away? I love them too much to give them away (although some of them get forcefully taken, lol). I think I've only given a couple away. But I want more!

Armani Code for Women was another mess up. Hmmph. Oh, and the Celine Dion. Crap burns my neck (or maybe it's all in my head).
Ibiluv: LOL. Well, at least you smell like something. I doubt if that smell will be coming in a bottle any time soon, but one never knows these days. Say, whatever happened to killing the chicken and soaking it in boiling water? Don't people do that anymore?
Aloofar: LOL!!! Intelligent question you have asked. First of all, I do NOT fart! My butt farts. Tehehe. Secondly, well — let's just say that these perfumes are not strong enough to mask those unpleasant smells, unfortunately.
Caramel: Ehn????? Dove gini? Mba oooo. We gorra gorra change that (not that Dove smells bad, of course). I think I love perfumes so much because I'm a sniffer. I sniff people a lot, and when a person walks past me and I take a whiff of the person's nice-smelling perfume, I like it. I imagine I have the same effect on people, too.

Anoda Phase: I definitely like to sample perfumes. At one point, I had to stop myself from going anywhere close to the perfume area. I would tell myself, "Vera, step away from the perfumes right now!"

my dear, we have the same problem, but seems (for a guy), mine has manifested in more bottles than yours
with about 10 unopened bottles in my closet, i had to stop buying, not gotten more than 4 in the past 18months, all gift

I am a minimalist. I only use one fragrance. Just one. In fact I hate shopping for fragrance and purses. My brain goes on a bender. I just don't know what's what out there.
O I heart this post so much Vera. I am also a "Smell Good" Addict. I got my habit from my mother. My Dad used to buy her fragrances all the time and she would collect from their travels. I hide my stash (lol) because folks think I am weird when they see them. When people complain about mine, I will show them that there is someone else out there "worse" than me lol.
