Most people know Shea Moisture and Nubian Heritage for their natural hair products, but did you know that they also make awesome natural beauty products, too? I’m talking body, face, make-up, and even make-up brushes. I want to tell you today about some facial products from Shea Moisture and some soaps (and lotion) from Nubian Heritage.
Like most people, I first knew about Shea Moisture because of my natural hair. But I later discovered that they are much more than hair. I have tried several of their products, but in this post, I’ll be writing specifically about their new line, which is their facial products.
Coconut and Hibiscus line: Products in this line do several things. They brighten dull skin tone, banish dark spots, and promote a healthy youthful glow. Pictures above from this line are the spot correcting serum, the spot correcting moisturizer, and the facial mask. Just before I got these products, I was actually in the market looking for natural face masks. I was this close to buying one from Walmart from a non-natural brand, but I changed my mind last minute.
African Black Soap line: For the African Sweet Potatoes, do I really need to tell you about the awesomeness of African Black Soap? Pictured above from this line is the mask and the moisturizer. Every product from this line contains Tamarind, a natural astringent that helps exfoliate and brighten skin. The mask draws out impurities and absorbs excess oil. The moisturizer keeps blemishes at bay and keeps skin hydrated.
Let me admit something: when I first tried the Goat’s Milk & Chai lotion from Nubian Heritage, I was not in love. I thought it smelled strange. Then a few minutes later, I smelled my hand and I. Was. In. Love. I used it before I left the house, and I told Igwe that it smelled weird. I called him while driving (don’t worry, I used an earpiece) to tell him that I LOVED the smell. Same goes for the soap. They both have this after smell that’s mesmerizing. The Goat’s Milk & Chai lotion is a calming and deeply moisturizing lotion that protects dry skin. And guess what it does for your skin? It softens it.
The Indian & Haitian Vetiver soap gently polishes and cleanses rough, dry, dull skin, leaving it smooth and soft.
You already know that the African Black soap is good for getting rid of and preventing new blemishes. And who does not want all of these benefits and much more from their beauty routine? In my opinion, every single one of these products is amazing. There truly isn’t one that I wouldn’t use. Based on your skin needs and preferences, you may prefer one to the other. I use both brands together right now. In case you didn’t know, Nubian Heritage is Shea Moisture’s sister company.
If you did not read the paragraphs above and all you did was admire the pictures, then the long and short of this story is that you should try Shea Moisture and Nubian Heritage beauty products. They’ll make you do back flips. And if you’re single, they will look and smell so good on you that you’ll involuntarily make a man fall hopelessly in love with you.
You can find any one of these products as your local awesome stores like Walmart, Target, CVS, and of course, online. You can read more details about these products on their websites www.sheamoisture.com and www.nubianheritage.com
