First-time moms and their first-time concerns. I have mentioned before that I don’t know if there are fewer concerns by the time you’re on Baby #2 or if the concerns continue anyway, but in my case, this is my first time for everything motherhood. Ada Verastic is 16 months now, and in addition to her eating habits, I also constantly worry if I’m teaching her enough.
I get so excited when she demonstrates something I’ve taught her, like when I ask her to show me her head and when I send her on a mini errand like “go give this to daddy,” and she actually goes. Mind. Blown. Although she sometimes collects the item back and brings it to me, ha! Still, I want to teach her, and I want to teach her well. And that, my people, is why I have partnered with WeeSchool, a new parenting app. All opinions are 100% my own. Download the WeeSchool App here by June 1, and you can register for free, lifetime access to all premium WeeSchool content and features. DOWNLOAD THE APP.
Let me first start by telling you about WeeSchool, and why I am all about that WeeSchool life. WeeSchool is an all-in-one parenting app that helps parents – especially ones that worry like me – to support preschool readiness for the little humans in their lives. And if I get excited anymore than I already am, I, too, might go to preschool. The app has 117 key elements to help track your little human’s development, and I LOVE this feature.
Let me pause here and tell you why I love the development feature. When I was pregnant with Ada Verastic, my due date was on a Sunday (October 25th, 2015), so every Sunday, as I turned plus one week, I received emails from a pregnancy site that had short videos of what my baby was doing now. And those were the best few minutes of our lives every Sunday morning. We woke up excited to see what Ada Verastic was doing on the inside. So that’s why this feature is one of my favorites.
Playing is good, but playing smart is even better. The app has a list of recommended smart play from birth to age 3, and it contains everything from toys, books, music, and activities. You can upload monthly pictures and videos of your little one, which the app will automatically file into journals that you can share with your friends and family. See how fun and easy it is when you download the WeeSchool App (bonus! register by June 1 to get free, lifetime access).
I know I’m a little biased, but my Ada Verastic is truly blessed and highly favored. At 16 months old, we are yet to buy her diapers and wipes because we were blessed with so many. We have also barely bought her any clothes or toys because she has so, so many. Just as recently as three days ago, she received more clothes for her birthday which was almost five months ago.
Speaking of toys, it was in episode 18 of Verastic Life that I talked about being cognizant of the toys that are available for kids and how some of them are just pointless. Well, guess what? WeeSchool has got me covered! It has a toy store that shows you the 43 toys to get your child from birth to 3 years. For the moms, you know 43 toys for three years sounds incredible because these days, they seem to acquire 43 toys monthly.
I don’t get to read as much as I want to these days, but when I was younger, I was a voracious reader. I’d lie under the coffee table in the living room and I’d consume a book. My mom used to complain that I was reading them too fast, and that books were not cheap in the market. WeeSchool also recommends books for our little people, which is great because when I say that I have NO idea where to start for Ada Verastic, I mean that I have NO idea where to start. If I continue being clueless, I’m gonna start reading her the nutritional information on the back of the cereal box. Oh, and she does not appear to enjoy me reading the bible to her so much.
Still need to be convinced? Well, let me drop this in here: WeeSchool was created by Julie Clark, the wonderful mom who created Baby Einstein, and based on her previous genius work, I’m going to go ahead and assume that she knows what she’s doing.
You know how you date someone before they become rich and famous, and then, when they become rich and famous, they show you off to everyone? Well, that’s what you can do with WeeSchool. If you download the app before June 1st, you’ll become a Charter Member and have lifetime premium access to all premium WeeSchool content and features.
Check them out.

Ah! Vera, your own is better sef. Me, I tried to read dictionary to my baby because I wanted him to learn big big words. The boy just turned 4 and i think I’ve scarred him because he bolts off every time I try to read to him now.

Looooool. I can’t imagine the horror! Dictionary? To a baby boy? Haha. But I understand the motivation. You just wanted the best for your boy.
