You’re probably wondering why the heck I’m asking men how they feel about vaginal sprays. Well, they go down there, that’s why I’m asking – not that I would know anything about that [insert straight face]. I started using vaginal sprays a little over a year ago, and I like them. For me, the decision to use a lot of things like lotion, fragrances, deodorant, hair spray, etc depends a lot on what it smells like. I’m a very big sniffer, so it has to smell good. There are several brands – and I cannot remember their names right now – but I have only tried two (Summer’s Eve and another one I can’t remember).
Bottom line: it smells good. It’s like using a regular body deodorant spray, except this one is on an intimate body part. And it doesn’t leave residues. I know. I checked. Summer’s Eve (and similar brands like it) have other products that I would love to try (like the wash and the wipes), but so far, I have only experimented with the spray. And this is the particular fragrance I like best [Island Splash]. Annoyingly, it seems to be the hardest one to find.
If I ever get around to trying the other products, I’ll come let you know. But for now, I really want to know what you think about vaginal sprays. I’m wondering if some women have reactions from it, or if they just don’t like the idea of it. And I’m wondering if men mind it. Does it alter the natural pheromones? Or is it icing on the cake?

Ask Igwe nau! Which kain wahala be dis? There’s only one man that can tell you if he finds it sexy or not, and he’s right around you. Abi Igwe hasn’t been going down there ni? Ah, show your face here right now, young man, and let’s tell you the pleasure of the best kind of food!
Vera Ezimora says
Loool. I didn’t actually ask Igwe, and I don’t know why I didn’t. Well, I’m gonna go ask him now.

actually i’m curious on another level… someone mentioned that her doctor says vaginal douches and sprays and panty liners are not healthy. lol. Perhaps i need to see a doctor.
To your question Vera, i’ll use my imagination. You know how perfume tastes right? lol. I’ve licked mine before… i can only imagine it tastes that way. like chemical.
Vera Ezimora says
Aaahhh!! Unhealthy, ke? Ewoo. I guess I can’t be too surprised anyway. The vagina is such a personal and intimate body part that so many things could easily go wrong with. Mmm. I’ve never done the douche thing, nor have I ever been even mildly interested in it. But I’ll do some research about the effects of the spray and stuff.

All I want to know is, does it taste as good as it smells. I’ve been sooo tempted to buy one of late My body’s on sauna overdrive.
Vera Ezimora says
Lool at the taste. I guess you can always find out yourself. Tehehe. Like Sisi Yemmie said, I’m sure it tastes like it smells, but that’s not necessarily a good thing because it’s not meant to be tasted. Unless I don’t know the koko. Haha.

i react to the wash for sure, so i stopped it… i haven’t tried the one for “sensitive” yet tho
and i used this spray… not bad. but the content was packed under/with a lot of pressure… so when i use it, i have to walk out of the room for a few seconds ( my room isn’t so well ventilated).
So, i am not SOLD abi na BOUGHT by this product…. if i’m walking around d store and i happen to find it on sale… sure then. But i don’t thiink i’ll go searching for it.
Vera Ezimora says
Lol at having to walk around. Fufu, you’re a yeye person. You react to the wash? I thought it’s the spray you react to. Hmmm. We’re gonna need to examine you in there 😀

i’m just hearing about the vaginal spray o. I use intimate wash and wipes though…won’t mind trying this. I wonder how it feel like after spraying it..lool
Vera Ezimora says
You’ve never heard, really? Oh, wow. I’ve never used the wash and wipes. It’d be interesting. The spray is cold to touch – as expected, seeing as that part of our body is warm, sometimes burning sef. Lol. After spraying, though, you don’t feel anything. You just know that you smell pretty darn good. Lol.

I’ve used the spray n wash n wipes and they all make u feel clean and fresh down there. But doctors always say no to them, something about how they kill the good bacteria and open you up to infection. Personally sods have issues with everything that makes me feel good so no surprises. Oh asked hubby now and he says either ways is fine by him
Vera Ezimora says
Hmmmmmmmm. It never even occured to me to ask my Gynecologist how she felt about these sprays. I just found something that smelled good, and I ran with it. I guess it’s kinda like how anti bacterial hand soap kills both the good and the bad bacteria. Yay for hubby not minding it either way.

Used to date someone. Don’t ask her name. She smells so beautiful everywhere. Maybe she uses something, how can I know? But the spray wouldn’t be bad if not used DIRECTLY on the honeypot. Come on, some of us really love Cunnilingus. At least, I do.

I actually just bought the spray today and I love it! I use the wash regularly, and I use wipes once in a while just to freshen up here and there (I’m one of those that prefers to keep the natural scent down there). But when my period surprised me this week, the last thing I wanted was that ugly odor you tend to have down there when you use pads. So I decided to try something new by purchasing the spray, and spraying it on my fresh pad before wearing it. And boy oh boy have I never felt cleaner and fresher! I feel even cleaner than I do when i’m not on. And not to mention I feel so so desirable (hehe). It’s so incredible how the spray literally just absorbs all the odor. No more sticky smelly pad. (TMI I know. I just figured this is a feminine health forum, so no judgements will be passed today).
Vera Ezimora says
Haha. See your life. Honestly, I cannot judge you for TMI because you know that I myself, I have no chill. But lol at feeling so desirable. Funny.

Hmmm! I started using vaginal wash in 2003, my immediate older sister introduced me to the joys of having a sparkling clean vagina. Since then I have never looked back. I have used most vagina wash products from vagisil to femfresh to beauty formula and I am currently using Summers Eve as it is quite affordable and gives you plenty use before you have to repurchase. I added vaginal spray to the mix about ten years ago, I use to use summers eve spray but now useI beauty formulas intimate spray, it is quite cheap, N500 per spray can. I also use vagisil cream for those periods I get the itch due to thrush or using bad toilet. I am not currently in a relationship so I am not having regular sex so I don’t know my man appreciates the effort but me I do, I feel squeaky clean down there.
Vera Ezimora says
Looool. As long as you appreciate your efforts, you are a winner! Sometimes, all this wahala we go through should just be for ourselves, to us happy. I think Summer’s Eve is the only brand of vaginal spray that I have tried.
