The Sculpted Look
This was the first look I did, and everything I used is pictured above, except my foundation and my eyebrow filler. Although Mary Kay® sent me a brow liner, it was blonde, so I had to use mine. With this look, the focus was on the lips and brows. Now look, you know what totally blew me out of the water? It was the eye smudger brush. This was my first time using one, and it worked so well that I began to wonder what I have been doing all my life. How have I been doing it? Why didn’t anyone tell me? Also, I would never have picked the Juicy Guava Mineral Cheek Duo, but I was very pleasantly surprised by how it turned out. When it comes to cheek color, I am not an explorer at all, but this look forced me to try something new, and I. Loved. It. The eyeliner glided on so smoothly that once again I wondered why I had not been using this. And I love the fact that it’s not too thick. The Spice ‘N’ Nice lipstick has a satin finish, so it glided on very smoothly, too, and maintained a shine all by itself. I didn’t need to put gloss on top of it. In the end, this is what I looked like:
Items used in no particular order [and because I love you, I have provided a link to every one of them]: eye smudger brush, mineral eye color in Hazelnut, brow gel, mineral eye color in Rosegold, eye color brush, mineral eye color in Cystalline, black eyeliner, lash love mascara in black, mineral cheek color duo in Juicy Guava, cheek brush, true dimensions lipstick in Spice ‘N’ Nice, and lip liner in dark chocolate.
The Bronze Glow
The focus on this one was the eyes and cheeks. Remember I told you how much of a non-risk taker I am when it comes to cheeks? I’m just always afraid of looking like I have a pepperoni slice on each cheek. The items I used are above, and once again, everything but my foundation and brow filler is pictured. For this look, I literally opened the cheek color and cringed. It was a beautiful color, but it was a color I had never used. This reminds me of the time I used to be afraid of red lipstick. Although I had never tried it, I had it in my head that it wouldn’t look good on me, so I never tried — until the day I tried. That was the exact experience I had with the Spiced Poppy cheek color. It was so colorful and pigmented that I got scared, but after I put it on and blended it in, I was feeling myself. There are two other things that I absolutely loved: the gel eye liner and the bronzing powder. I had never owned both of these items because once again, I was unnecessarily afraid of them. I thought gel eye liners would be messy and bronzing powder, I just did not know how to use. Well, I do now! Why didn’t anyone tell me how easy it is to use the gel eye liner? My life is completely changed! My final look below:
And once again, a list of the items I used and their links: Powder brush, Bronzing Powder in light/medium, Mineral Cheek Color Duo in Spiced Poppy, Cheek Brush, Eye Color Brush, Mineral Eye Color in Amber Glaze, Mineral Eye Color in Gold Coast, Mineral Eye Color in Precious Pink, Gel Eyeliner in Jet Black, Lash Love Lengthening Mascara in Black, and NouriShine Plus Lip Gloss in Beach Bronze. I had a little too much fun with this Mary Kay® makeup, and Igwe’s face alone was all the entertainment I needed. He always has this look on his face when I’m doing my makeup as if he’s thinking, “Women have too much time on their hands,” but he always loves the end result. He has even suggested that when we have our white wedding, I should not hire a makeup artist. Yeah, right! Must be pampered on that day! How can an Oga Madam not have a makeup artist? Considering how much I just learned from this experience alone, I’m beginning to reexamine my entire life. Who am I, really? Is my name even Vera? Anyway, which look do you like better? You look great. Can’t even believe you didn’t need a second hand to make your face like that. And yes, ladies have too much time in their hands. Plus your face reminds me of someone (a chemical engineer) from the past that I’ll do everything to delete from mem.
Anyways, keep doing you.
Vera Ezimora says
Looooool at the chemical engineer. Thank you, Breathe! I’ll try and not to look like her too much. Tehehe.

Chei. Carole, it’s never my choice how to do the giveaway. The company doing the giveaway decides how it will be run. I’m just the platform. I’m working on getting Naija-based sponsors.
