iCook: Knorr Pasta Sides Cheddar Broccoli

When I got offered a chance to write about Knorr Pasta Sides Cheddar Broccoli, I was excited because I absolutely love trying new things and telling you about them – yes, of course, food included – and while I was not expecting it to be bad, I did not expect it to be this good either. If you’re wondering why the portion looks small, it’s because I was begging Igwe to please STOP eating it until I was done taking pictures. He didn’t listen as you can see.

To my fellow Nigerians, no this meal does not involve our traditional Knorr cubes. This is ridiculously appetizing. It was absolute love at first bite — and pleasant shock, too. It’s got me wondering when I can meet the actual person who cooked this, so I can get an autograph.

Honestly, I was skeptical because I wondered why and how something that came out of a bag would taste good. I was so shocked at the taste of this pasta that you could have knocked me over with a feather. And I have to say, not only did it taste good, but it was also fresh. I don’t know how Knorr did it, but WOW! And to think, I have been suffering and cooking meals from scratch … and all for what?

 

 

 

I decided to eat it with a piece of chicken I made earlier, but once I tasted the pasta, the chicken returned to where it came from because I did not need any extras at all. Yes, it tasted that good.

Ingredients:

1 ½ cup of water

½ cup of milk

1 tablespoon of butter – optional (I used Shedd’s Spread Country Crock Spread)

And that’s all.

To cook: pour the water and milk in a medium saucepan, add the butter, and let it boil. Next, add the contents of the bag. Then let it cook for about 10 minutes (or until the noodles are done). And voila, the food is ready.

For me, how I knew that the food was good is that Igwe – who would usually not even try ready-made food – could not stop eating it. We both kept digging into it and saying, “Mmm. Wow. This is actually really good.” It was like we were starring in a commercial.
