There is definitely love in the air! When I hear\/read of a Sweet Potato getting married, I get all giddy as if I&#8217;m part of the wedding, and I guess with posting pictures here, I kind of am part of the wedding. Today&#8217;s Sweet Potato is Angela. Her fiance is Kenna, and they live right here in Maryland. Their wedding is on August 29th 2015 and I can hardly wait! Yes, I know it&#8217;s not my wedding, but a girl is allowed to be excited.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/verastic.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Angela-Kenna-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9864\" src=\"https:\/\/verastic.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Angela-Kenna-1.jpg\" alt=\"Angela-&amp;-Kenna-1\" width=\"750\" height=\"750\" srcset=\"https:\/\/verastic.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Angela-Kenna-1.jpg 750w, https:\/\/verastic.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Angela-Kenna-1-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/verastic.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Angela-Kenna-1-300x300.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Usually, when I ask a couple for details, I have to add or take away some words, but in this case, I&#8217;m just going to post their love and proposal story exactly as it was submitted to me. By the way, Angela is a freelance makeup artist. Can you tell? I absolutely love her makeup in the last picture. It&#8217;s beautiful, neutral, and oh, so set. But first, their video!<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/file\/d\/0B_iYl6Q4TdsnOXI2VmFwQUduVEU\/preview\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Their Story:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Angela and Kenna&#8217;s relationship began like any good old &#8211; fashioned Nigerian love story: at University. It was the last day of classes that spring semester at Morgan State University. The both of them met in Holmes Hall, the campus center.\u00a0 Kenna was leaving the building with Angela&#8217;s then roommate, while Angela was entering the building with two of her girlfriends.<\/p>\n<p>The both of them had seen each other around campus occasionally but they were never officially introduced. Angela\u2019s roommate was excited to introduce the two of them. They however, remained cool in demeanor during their first formal introduction.\u00a0 &#8220;She was the most beautiful girl in the room&#8221; recalled Kenna of that fateful afternoon.\u00a0 A delicate silence filled the room and both parties left to go about their day. The initial meeting was brief but they both knew they would see each other again. Throughout their time apart they remained patient and persistent in making their friendship work. They communicated through endless Facebook messages and Skype calls about any and everything. After months and months of friendly conversations, text messages, and phone calls Angela was finally visiting Baltimore. Kenna was having a huge birthday party and Angela had to be there. Kenna knew it was time to make his move from friends to eternal lovers!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/verastic.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Angela-Kenna-5.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9870\" src=\"https:\/\/verastic.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Angela-Kenna-5.jpg\" alt=\"Angela-&amp;-Kenna-5\" width=\"750\" height=\"498\" srcset=\"https:\/\/verastic.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Angela-Kenna-5.jpg 750w, https:\/\/verastic.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Angela-Kenna-5-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/a> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9871\" src=\"https:\/\/verastic.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Angela-Kenna-6.jpg\" alt=\"Angela-&amp;-Kenna-6\" width=\"750\" height=\"498\" srcset=\"https:\/\/verastic.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Angela-Kenna-6.jpg 750w, https:\/\/verastic.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Angela-Kenna-6-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Kenna arranged a romantic homemade dinner for Angela\u2019s arrival. &#8220;When I saw that he made dinner I knew that the feeling of more than friendship was mutual\u201d recalled Angela.\u00a0 She knew that this guy was all she had ever dreamed of.\u00a0 She saw all the characteristics that she wanted in a life partner &#8220;charming, smart, responsible, funny, God fearing and family oriented.&#8221; She couldn\u2019t have asked for more.\u00a0 They both knew from then they couldn\u2019t live without each other.<\/p>\n<p>A few months after that Angela moved back to Baltimore and they started an official relationship. The two of them then continued their study at Morgan where they graduated together.\u00a0 And that is how two close friends grew into romantic lovers.<\/p>\n<h2>The Proposal:<\/h2>\n<p>Kenna and Angela had been dating for three and a half years when they decided to get married. The proposal started with a spring road trip to Virginia. On the second day of the road trip Kenna told Angela that he had made reservations for dinner at the Marriott, and then after that they would go out dancing at Ozio\u2019s Roof Top Lounge in DC. Angela was excited so she got ready for the exciting evening ahead.<\/p>\n<p>When they arrived at the restaurant the staff had arranged a beautiful candle lit, dinner for two.\u00a0 They sat down and ordered dinner as they normally would.\u00a0 During dinner Kenna discussed their relationship, his love for Angela, and why he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. In Angela\u2019s mind she wondered why he was being so romantic. She assumed he was really enjoying the trip and wanted to discuss all their memories.<\/p>\n<p>Before Angela realized what was happening Kenna got on one knee with a beautiful past present future gold banded ring! After that Kenna said the magical words every woman dreams of hearing \u201cwill you marry me.\u201d\u00a0 Angela Immediately said yes!<\/p>\n<p>Following this, the members of the staff and people in the restaurant began cheering and congratulating the newly engaged couple. The staff brought out a delicious red velvet cake with the words congrats delicately written in chocolate.\u00a0 Soon after they went to Ozio\u2019s\u00a0 Roof Top as planned where they meet with friends and loved ones.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/verastic.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Angela-Kenna-7.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9867\" src=\"https:\/\/verastic.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Angela-Kenna-7.jpg\" alt=\"Angela-&amp;-Kenna-7\" width=\"750\" height=\"563\" srcset=\"https:\/\/verastic.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Angela-Kenna-7.jpg 750w, https:\/\/verastic.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Angela-Kenna-7-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The next morning the couple continued their trip to Virginia Beach.
