I can confidently say that I have a love-hate relationship with cooking. I cannot say that I dislike it, but I don’t quite like it either. Basically, I enjoy experimenting and trying new recipes, and I have never eaten any food that I like better than the one I cooked myself, but there are just days<\/del> months that I don’t feel like cooking.<\/p>\n

I have shown you pictures of some of the foods I have cooked through my iCook series<\/strong><\/a>, and I enjoyed cooking every one of those meals. The only thing that has stopped me from putting up more cooking posts is that I am often lazy to take pictures of the food. I just have to give it to food bloggers because taking pictures of food is an art on its own. The irony of not caring too much to cook is that I get livid with excitement whenever I get a cooking campaign. So does that mean that I actually like cooking?<\/p>\n

I am always mentally imagining myself in my future kitchen. I know exactly<\/em> what I want it to look like. It’s going to be the kind of kitchen that no matter who the guest is, he\/she will be begging me to let them cook. Our kitchen right now is cozy. Cozy<\/em> is a cute word for tiny. It’s not unbearably tiny, and it was perfect when we first got the apartment, but we are now outgrowing it, so I’m looking forward to my future kitchen. I know exactly what I want it to look like. Have I said that before?<\/p>\n

When I watch Food Network, I just want to go out and buy all the ingredients and make that food – even if I have no idea what it is. Speaking of Food Network, it also makes me want to buy all the kitchen gadgets and appliances. Am I alone in this? It’s the same way that HGTV makes me want to remodel anything and everything, including my rental apartment (which would definitely get me evicted). The only reason why I am not going crazy with buying kitchen appliances right now is because I don’t have the space to keep them. I don’t like clutter.<\/p>\n

Funny enough, this is the little decor I have on the wall. How apt, huh? I have another one that says, “Given enough coffee, I could rule the world,”<\/em> but I bought that one because of Igwe. He’s the coffee guzzler. I’m not much of a caffeine consumer. Speaking of cooking anyway, I watched the video below and although I don’t know exactly what she’s making or what it tastes like, it just looks so good that I’d like to make it, too.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

All I need now is my dream kitchen to make it happen. Yes, I realize that there’s nothing stopping me from doing it now, but I’ll hold my kitchen responsible and use it as an excuse. By the way, when Igwe was in Nigeria, I barely cooked. To be more specific, I cooked once. For me, even if I don’t have any other food in my house, I’ll definitely have milk and cereal, and when I have milk and cereal, everything is just fine.<\/p>\n

I still don’t know if I like cooking or not. But I’d like to cook more. And I’d like to have a big kitchen to entertain my family. So ladies, do you actually like cooking?<\/p>\n
