Yes, I know that Nigerians are not the only ones who have this inferiority complex, and I know that not every Nigerian has it either. But I have not completed my survey on exactly who is or isn&#8217;t suffering from inferiority complex based on their complexion, so I&#8217;m just generalizing here.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/verastic.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Dencia-Whitenicious.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8522\" alt=\"Dencia Whitenicious\" src=\"https:\/\/verastic.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Dencia-Whitenicious.jpg\" width=\"594\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/verastic.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Dencia-Whitenicious.jpg 594w, https:\/\/verastic.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Dencia-Whitenicious-297x300.jpg 297w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 594px) 100vw, 594px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Dencia just released a product called, <em>Whitenicious<\/em>, and according to her, its sold out. I don&#8217;t expect the people who bought the product to complain about it because they are the customers. But what about the rest of us? Am I the only one who is offended that a Nigerian &#8211; Black &#8211; girl created a product called, <em>Whitenicious<\/em>? And her promo shot for this product has her looking white &#8211; thanks to lighting and flash. Do you not find this offensive? The picture is so bright that I can&#8217;t look at it without squinting.<\/p>\n<p>For the people who bought this product, which one of you bought this just to get rid of dark spots? You know you bought it to lighten your skin, and that&#8217;s fine if you&#8217;re about that life. But for those who don&#8217;t bleach their skin and did not purchase this products, how does it make you feel to know that your fellow Nigerians are willing to go above and beyond to change their skin color?<\/p>\n<p>I shouldn&#8217;t compare Nigeria to America, I know. But I can&#8217;t help but wonder: what would be the reaction of the American people if a Black American entertainer decides to make and sell a product called <em>Whitenicious<\/em>? \u00a0People don&#8217;t even like it when a Black person looks lighter than usual on the cover of a magazine. How then will they make such a product and proudly sell it?<\/p>\n<p>But in Nigeria, it&#8217;s perfectly fine, normal, and welcome. Whitenicious, really????????<\/p>\n<p>Check yourselves, people.
