“Dear Vera. I don’t know what exactly I want but I believe your advice will work. Am in a relationship recently turned sour. We had our introduction in 2011. I love this lady so much but its not mutual. Recently we had a very big brawl, she removed our engagement ring and says she’s no more interested and that her heart is no more in this.<\/em><\/p>\n

Her parents spoke to us, I got her friends involved, got a whole lotta people involved to strike up the passion yet again, she denied all my advances and recently agreed for us to give it one more shot. Two weeks after, she’s back to the same feeling and she says she just wanna be by herself and to be left for a while. She says most of all she does rather is a chore to her than her enjoying her relationship with me.<\/em><\/p>\n

We’ve struggled this 4 4years and av been able to deal with my insecurities, jealousness and commanding nature of the man I was before but its still not helping. Now she says we should dissolve this and go our separate ways and that if she feels the same, we can come back together and start all over again. She’s 26 and am 33 years. Vera, I don’t know what to do. I love her so much, having been there right from when she was in lag from 200level till now. What should I do Vera?”<\/em><\/p>\n

It doesn’t matter how much you love her, if she does not love you back. Trust me, you do not want to be with someone who does not \u00a0want to be with you. You want to be with someone who celebrates you, not just in words, but in actions too. You do not want to be in a relationship where you are enjoying it and your partner, on the other hand, feels it’s a “chore” to her. It’s not fair to either of you.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/p>\n

I know it hurts now, but there is only thing I think you should do:\u00a0<\/span>let her go<\/span><\/b>. She does not feel what you feel, and even if she decides – say, out of pity – to go ahead and marry you, you should still not do it. You deserve to be happy, as does she. Her rejection doesn’t mean that you are a bad person, or that you are not good enough; it simply means you are not the one for her. And contrary to what your heart may be feeling right now, she is not the one for you either.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/p>\n

Love is not this difficult.\u00a0This pain that you feel now is only temporary, and when you find that woman for you, you will look back at today and laugh. I know you’re thinking about the four years you have invested, but would you rather end it now or later? Marriage is not for the faint of heart, nor is it for the unsure. When your wife says “I do” to you, she needs to actually do, not think that she does.\u00a0I wish you the best of luck as you hopefully start this new chapter in your life.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/p>\n
