It’s hard to not love them. They’re so cute.<\/p><\/div>\n

By now, everyone is aware of the breaking news that we all knew was going to break: Rihanna is back with Chris Brown. Say it isn’t so! And since this news, every time I see Rihanna’s new photo – like her new cover on Vogue – people make it a point to repeat again how foolish she is for going back to Chris Brown. Like, how could she be so stupid?! A man beat you once; he will do it hundred times over.<\/p>\n

See, I don’t know Rihanna and Chris personally – bet you did not know that – and I have no special love for either for them. But somehow, they seem to me to really be in love. I might be wrong. Human beings are so complex that we do crazy shit and never comprehend why we did it. Like why did Ochocinco choose head-butting as his method of showing his wife who is really boss? But I digress.<\/p>\n

As a strong advocate of there-is-never-enough-reasons-to-hit-a-woman, I am shocked at myself at what I am about to say. Is it really impossible that when Chris Brown hit Rihanna, it was an honest error in his judgment, that he never meant to inflict any physical pain on her, that he regrets every moment of it, and that it kills him to know that he did what he did? And is it really impossible that Rihanna instigated him and has a part – no matter how small – in getting her face redesigned temporarily?<\/p>\n

I am not implying that men should go ahead and hit a woman when provoked, as long as she deserved to be hit. But are these issues always black and white? Yes, of course, Chris Brown should have man’d up and walked away. He should have swallowed hard and used everything he had to just walk away. But what happens when he fails? What happens when he acts like an angry human being with his back against the wall? And then, he fails?\u00a0I don’t know if Chris Brown will ever hit Rihanna again, but I tend to think that he won’t. I hope I’m right.<\/p>\n

And then, there’s the issue of Karrueche. Rihanna is also accused of making<\/em> him hurt her. I call bullshit on this one. Not that my opinion matters in anyway, but I never thought they’d last forever – not that many celebrities do anyway. She seemed too much like a rebound girl to him, like he was with her to cover up the pain and loneliness of losing Rihanna. I’m sure he liked her. Maybe he even loved her. But she was not Rihanna. That said, it is impossible to steal someone who does not want to be stolen. Rihanna did not steal him, nor did she make him hurt Karrueche. They all deserve happiness.<\/p>\n

Some day, I’ll be able to figure out why I have spent an entire post analyzing the love life of three people whom I have never, ever met. For now, just tell me what you think of their relationship. Hey, we can analyze this thing together, because we all know that Chris Brown and Rihanna care what we’re discussing on this Verastic blog.<\/p>\n
