Why do men fall asleep right after sex, instead of staying up to talk about very interesting stuff … like the future, like how he feels about you, like how you are the best thing to have happened to him since sliced bread. Well, apparently, there is a biological<\/em> reason.<\/p>\n

Turns out that men’s brains are designed to switch off after sex. Scientists scanned the brains of several men before and during orgasm, and they found out that the cerebral cortex (the thinking area of the brain) shuts down after sex. I bet you thought this part was permanently shut down in men all the time, huh? But no, it only happens after sex. That’s what they<\/em> say anyway.<\/p>\n

“Straight afterwards, two other areas, the cingulate cortex and amygdala, tell the rest of the brain to deactivate from sexual desire. \u00a0<\/em><\/span>This is accompanied by a surge of chemicals such as oxytocin and serotonin, which can have a powerful sleep-inducing effect, according to the researchers.<\/em>“<\/p>\n

Unfortunately for you<\/del> us women, we don’t have this problem. In fact, we may be asking for more, when all our partners want to do is sleep. According to this study, a whopping 80% of men said they felt more relaxed after sex and were able to just fall asleep with no problems. But only 46% of the women felt the same way. You don’t say. Well, maybe if the men were awake to talk to us instead of sleeping, we too, will fall asleep easily. No?<\/p>\n

But do not fret, there is a loophole. \u00a0It turns out that, “One of the chemicals they release is prolactin, which is linked to the feeling of sexual satisfaction. Previous research has found men who are deficient in prolactin are less tired afterwards.”<\/em><\/p>\n

So you know what this means, right? Find a way to make your man prolactin-deficient. Gbam! End of the story. The women are happy. And we all know that when the woman is happy, everyone is happy.<\/p>\n
