Something funny has been happening these days. \u00a0I step out of the car, lock it (with the remote), walk toward my destination, and then, suddenly feel like I didn’t lock the car. \u00a0So I just walk right back to the car to make sure it’s locked. \u00a0So far, every time I have come back, the car has been locked. \u00a0I laugh at myself sometimes. \u00a0I wonder why I bother coming back every single time (knowing somewhere in my heart that the car is locked), but it’s because I never remember locking it.<\/p>\n

On the contrary, some days, I am too sure about locking the car (what’s that they say about being too sure again?); I walk to my destination (sometimes my destination is my home; I’m retiring for the night), and I settle down with easeness and calmness. \u00a0And confidence. \u00a0And assurance. \u00a0Because I know I locked the car.<\/div>\n

But then I come back to the car later (or in the morning), and I am almost shocked out of my pants. \u00a0Except that sometimes I’m not wearing pants (trousers). \u00a0Or maybe my pants are too tight, so I can’t really be shocked out of them. \u00a0But I digress. \u00a0My car isn’t locked. \u00a0It’s wide open. \u00a0One time, the back passenger window at the right was winded down. \u00a0But my car is always safe. \u00a0And so is everything in it – not that there is much anyway. \u00a0I only have a box of tissue sitting on the front passenger seat. \u00a0Sometimes, a few sheets of paper on the back seat.<\/div>\n

But I cannot help but wonder, why do I even bother locking this car? \u00a0It’s evident that I am not the reason why the car has not been broken into. \u00a0Someone higher than me has been watching over it. \u00a0Locked or unlocked, if someone wanted to, someone would break into it. \u00a0But someone has not wanted to. \u00a0No one has wanted to. \u00a0<\/div>\n

So He that watches over me also watches over my property. \u00a0He watches over everything that concerns me. \u00a0He sees to it that I am well taken care of. \u00a0He sees to it that I, his unloyal, unworthy daughter, lack nothing. \u00a0And even though I always falter, and I always disappoint him, and I always make mistakes, somehow, he anticipates them because He knows what I will do before I even do them. \u00a0He did after all know me before I was.\u00a0<\/div>\n

My people, this is the year of joy unspeakable. \u00a0Make sure nothing stops you from experiencing that God-given joy.<\/div>\n
