My first post on this blog was titled Enter Vera<\/strong><\/a>. I know you have no interest in knowing about it. You’re probably not even reading these words. You’ve probably just skipped straight to the pictures. Anyway, I figured that on my rebirth<\/em>, I should come back bearing the same post title – with a slight variation, of course. Happy New Year. And happy viewing.<\/p>\n

\u00a0This \u00a0was one of the first shots I took. <\/span>He<\/em> likes it a lot. I picked it because I can see my earrings. It wasn’t easy under all that hair. I shoulda gotten my hair done.<\/span><\/p>\n

Not sure what look I was going for here. But I can tell you one thing: sitting on those balls is not nearly as comfortable as it looks. Those are not the balls I’m used to usually playing with. Err, I play with pool balls, of course. Not sure where your mind was going with that one *adjusts halo*<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\u00a0What? \u00a0 This isn’t how you update your blog — in the middle of the walkway — lying on the ground — dressed up — make-up done — almost-six-inch heels on — laptop sitting on the ground — strangers walking by and starring at you — in the freezing cold? Well, that’s how I update my blog.<\/p>\n

\u00a0There’s no explanation for this picture, other than the fact that Femi<\/strong><\/a> (the photographer) came close to me and the sun was in my eyes. That’s it. Oh, and that’s Funmie’s hand in the background fixing my hair — just in case you were wondering what kind of gymnastic skills I used to put my hand back there.<\/p>\n

\u00a0So whenever you hear Funmie denying her love for me, please refer to this picture. This time, there is proof. Although, I am sad to report that this romantic gesture captured above never did mature into a French kiss *sigh* But on the plus side, that’s <\/span>him<\/em> in the background. He was wondering why we left him out of the action.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Funmie was really God-sent on that day because if not for her, I can’t imagine what my hair would have looked like. First, I didn’t get a chance to get it done. Secondly, I suck at doing hair. Thirdly, the wind was working overtime, trying to remove the hair from my head and expose my secret. But alas, it was sewn in. In your face, wind!<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\u00a0He was given the strenuous task of carrying my shoes and he did it well. He does a lot of things well — like driving us to the venue *straight face*<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0If it looks like I’m forcing her to collect a kiss, then look again. Truth is, she was just so happy to be getting a kiss from me. That’s the version of the story I’m sticking to, and there’s nothing you can do about it.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

I’m really, really grateful to every single one of you who have read and\/or commented on this blog. Thank you so much. I’m short of words – mostly because it’s four in the morning and I’m tapping away at my keyboard instead of sleeping. Thank you so much. I’m gonna go to bed now and continue in the morning.<\/p>\n

Morning! So as I was saying, by the way, if we look all warm and cozy, then we have done a good job at fooling you. Don’t worry about the sun; it was only trying to mislead us.The weather was actually freezing. My teeth were chattering the entire time. Several times, Femi had to say, “Vera, we have to retake that last shot; you looked cold in it.”<\/em> Yeah, thanks for noticing, Femi. In spite of my smiles, missing jacket, and Funmie’s skimpy dress, the cold was actually numbing. I had to take breaks in between pictures to warm up in my jacket. Speaking of Funmie’s skimpy dress, someone please ask her why she was wearing that oh. She claimed she was on her way to work.*INSERT RAISED EYEBROW*<\/strong> I’m starting to think Funmie has changed her line of business.<\/p>\n

Now, let me give some credits:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Femi of PaOsin<\/strong><\/a> took these pictures. Like I said in a previous post, he came there ready to shoot – pictures, that is. There are some things you don’t think about having a favorite of, like your favorite cook or trainer, and a photographer is one of them. It wouldn’t matter to you if you never used either. Though my pictures have been absent from this blog and all social networks, it is not a true representation of my pictorial life. In reality, I take a lot of pictures. Too many, maybe. And Femi<\/strong><\/a> has taken a lot of them. He’s my favorite photographer. \u00a0He’s professional, punctual, honest, creative, and interested<\/em>. I’ve had photographers that are just there to point and shoot and couldn’t care less what else is going on. If you need a photographer that is a photographer that is a photographer, check PaOsin (Femi)<\/strong><\/a> out.<\/p>\n
