Happy Valentine’s Day, Sweet Potatoes!  And so it begins! Today, I have the pleasure of introducing my number one Sweet Potato, Enyemaka. She’s number one because she’s the first person who reached out to me to be featured after I published the call to be featured<\/strong><\/a>. Without further ado, let’s get to know her (and at the end, you’ll read my official response to Enyemaka).<\/p>\n

Sweet Potato #1: Enyemaka Nnodimele<\/p><\/div>\n

Her initial email to me:<\/strong> Hi Verastic! Loyal sweet potato here.  My name is Enyemaka Nnodimele. I\u2019m a daughter, wife, mom to an almost 3year old daughter (where did all the time go?) and a 3-month-old son), and a nurse. I\u2019m Nigerian (full blooded onye Igbo) [Igbo person].<\/p>\n

1)  Tell us a little bit about yourself: <\/strong>[This question was answered in the introductory email]<\/div>\n

2)  How long have you been a Sweet Potato? <\/strong> So I discovered Verastic.com<\/a> about 2 years ago. <\/div>\n
 <\/div>\n
3)  How did you discover Verastic and why do you keep coming back?<\/strong>  I was on Sisi Yemmie\u2019s IG page and I saw a picture of you both in Balogun market (the one where you had raincoats on ).i went to check you out, found your blog and binged on verastic.com<\/a> for weeks.  Why do I keep coming back? First, you\u2019re smart. I love smart people. Your writing is relatable and you have no airs about you (I know this because you\u2019ve replied every comment I\u2019ve left on your page, no matter how irrelevant).<\/div>\n

4)  What’s your favorite thing about Verastic\/what do you love to read\/see most on Verastic? <\/strong> I love the \u201cLet Me Tell You About…\u201d<\/strong><\/a> posts where you share your experiences, or talk about people you\u2019ve known. Not only are those funny, they make me feel like I know you personally. Hehe.<\/div>\n

5)  Where do you live? [State and Country]<\/strong> I currently live in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada<\/div>\n
 <\/div>\n
6)  One quirky thing about you?<\/strong>  I\u2019m having a hard time thinking of anything, so imma go with \u201cI don\u2019t eat snails, goat meat, offals of any kind, pomo, or<\/em> catfish.\u201d<\/em> Oh, and I live for \u201ceggs over easy.\u201d<\/div>\n

7)  Three words you’d use to describe yourself?<\/strong>  Reserved, strong, kind. <\/div>\n
 <\/div>\n
8)  What are your hobbies\/what do you do for fun?<\/strong>  I love to read: articles, blogs, novels, textbooks…name it. As long as it flows, I\u2019m reading it. I find that this has worked to my advantage with all the studying and exams I\u2019ve had to do while getting into the nursing practice. Now for fun, I don\u2019t do much. Having two kids and working crazy hours doesn\u2019t allow me much fun. I\u2019ll just say I hang out with my favorite person: my twin sister (yes, I have a twin), we manage to entertain ourselves pretty well. I also enjoy the company of my kids and husband.<\/div>\n

9)  If money and fear were not an issue, what would you be doing right now?<\/strong>  If money were not an issue, I\u2019d sleep all day (haha, just kidding). I\u2019d be Anthony Bourdain!<\/div>\n

10)  What would you like to see more of on Verastic?<\/strong>  Or what kind of new content would you like me to add on Verastic?  <\/strong>Nne’m, just do you. Whatever you write, I will read. <\/span><\/div>\n

From My Heart to Enyemaka:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

You are a twin???  Whattttt!!!! Enyemaka, what you’re doing is not good oh! I have been complaining for years that I want confusingly identical twin boys, and not once did you email me to introduce me to your parents, so I can ask them how they did it so I can do it, too Odiro kwa mma! [It’s not good oh!]<\/p>\n

Enyemaka, I really, really appreciate what you said about me responding to your comments. This is because I never feel like I’m doing enough with the comments. Sometimes I get busy and don’t get to respond, and I feel soooooo guilty. But the fact that you have even noticed me trying means everything. Thank you! I will strive to do more.<\/p>\n

Thank you for being a Sweet Potato (and for being number #1).<\/p>\n
