The older I get, the less noise I make about my birthday. I used to make a list each year of everything I wanted for my birthday – although at some point, I just used to do it for fun – but eventually, I stopped making those lists. There are things I want that money can buy, but I don’t necessarily want them for my birthday. I’ve wanted them long before today. The things I want the most though, they are things that money cannot buy, things that only God can give me: wisdom, favor, strength, life, health, and many other things.<\/p>\n

For now, I have no plans for today. But I do plan to celebrate my birthday throughout the year. So if you see me buying myself a birthday gift in July, you’ll know why. A few hours ago, I put some makeup on my face and took the pictures below. I did not plan for Ada Verastic to be a part of my pictures, but she was so clingy. It took me double the time to do the makeup because Ada Verastic refused to stay with anyone else but me, and she decided that my makeup brushes could also serve as her toys. Also, she was determined to answer the question: do make-up brushes sink or float when you throw them into the toilet? I did not let her find out the answer to that. <\/p>\n
